MikeRe: Does anyone know....Hi: I had a eight footer and did a complete rebuid on it. Mine had nothing in there but air and wires for the lights. I believe that they like the nose cone were for aerodynamics. MikeRe: Thoughts on the Triton V10 EngineHi. Here is a comparison. Not a Gm. Vs Ford thing. we bought a new to us rig in pigeon forge Tenn a few years back while on vacation. At that time we owned a 2002 gmc 2500 hd 6Liter 4*4. 410 rear end. 4door shortbox with low miles carrying a lance 820. 8'6" camper with no slide. We Bought a 2004 ford f350 duely. V10. 373 rear end.4*4 4 door long box with a lance 1161 11"6" camper with slide. The ford weighted in at almost 1000lbs more than the gm. So we brought back to ontario both camper traveling the same roads at the same time. The old rig was completely empty. The new rig was fully loaded from our return from a 3 week trip to florida. We had to stop for many fuel refills for the gm because of the smaller gas tank, so I filled the ford at the same time. On every fill up the ford was within 1/2 gallon of the gm. So yes they like the gas but in my opinion with the weight size increase I have done well. mikeRe: Northern Canada in March?Hi. Just to add another twist to the up north thing. I live in what I call central ontario. People from Toronto call it up north and cottage here. Our temperatures this week have been in the -25c and we have seen 9 feet of snow so far this winter. We winter camp in Algonquin provincial park with temperatures at -30 and more snow. A few hours drive north from home. That said I am about 5hrs to the closest south US boarder and for me to go up north heading towards Winnipeg the Ontario Boarder is a 20 hour drive, and yes I am still in Ontario. On the other hand I can drive south and in 20 hours be in Jacksonville Florida. So when talking Up north in Canada its all about who you talk too. MikeRe: F350 anti-sway barHi. Your post says that you put 35psi in your bags then you loaded your camper. Did you reset your bags after loading? If you did not then your bags will have more than 35psi in them. MikeRe: F350 anti-sway barHi. I have the same truck with heavier camp and I never go more than 60psi on my bags.your camper 40lbs should be enough.
