Mar-a-Villa, about ten. Las Jaibas, two occupied rigs. Have yet to go through the Punta Cerritos, which caught fire last spring, but then again, it was more permanent structures than anybody travelling through.Re: Nogales Mariposa crossingProgress at the KM 21 check-point! You now pay for your tourist visa with a credit card right in line! No going to stand in line at the Banjercito waiting for everybody to get an auto permit and then returning to the side door to wait for others to fill out their form. Yes!!!Re: Nogales Mariposa crossingAny of you interested in the west coast crossing at Nogales should tune in to YouTube and look up Eat See RV. This young couple has just returned to Mexico and crossed at Nogales, stayed at Kino, Huatobampito and Celestino Gasca north of Mazatlan. Mostly by themselves and mostly with No Problemas!Re: Two Medical Crises their Resolution and CostsLou; Seeing we now winter in Mazatlan, curious to know which hospital?Re: Rocky Point or Puerto Penasco MexicoIs there still dry camping on the beach at The Reef? What price? Thanks.Re: Edgar's and Ana's Santa AnaWe enjoyed some rum and great conversation on our only visit last year. Sorry to hear of Edgar's passing.Re: Seeking advice on driving from Nogales to IxtapaI can't speak for Mazatlán to Ixtapa, but Nogales to Mazatlán was passable all along the 15D and security was not an issue.Re: Class A Coach with 4 proper seats w/ seatbelts? Here's that same Safari Simba that sold in 04/17 at PPL Motorhomes in Texas. Asking price was $38,500. far below the one in Colorado. hereherehttps://www.pplmotorhomes.com/used-rvs-for-sale/diesel-motorhomes/2007-safari-simba_rv-30874Re: Nogales CrossingWe came north on February 17th, a Saturday at about 5 pm. Very busy with car traffic from the "old Nogales" lanes. Nobody else coming down from the cuota. It still took some convincing to get our 24 foot class C across the two lanes coming in from Old Nogales over to the right bus lane, but we managed. If they have removed another concrete barrier, or two, even better.Re: Huatulco and Zihnahuato (sic)Personally, I love Huatulco. Yes, only the one "parking lot" but it has a water and sewer site and some very clean restrooms. No electric but hardly anybody there if you need to run the genset. Snorkel at a different bay each day. Walk to the "all-inclusive" beach for sunrise. Catch a meal in the little town of Cruceritas. We've stayed at the Ixtapa Fonatur park twice and El Manglar in Zihua once. My wife liked the bay and some yoga in Zihua. I preferred the ocean wave at Ixtapa and the bike path. Restaurants were good enough, especially, Buzo #1 which is up the dirt road into the small town of San Juan de Ixtapa right near the park. See both at mexicotallman.wordpress.com Playa Diamante south of Acapulco is about as safe as you can get. Plenty of friendly Canadians and a fabulous beach, with several good restaurants right across from the entrance.
