Re: How many miles a day can we go?
When I first retired we drove from Massachusetts to the RGV. It was 2500 miles and we did it in 5 days, never again. Towing our 5’er to Florida it’s 1500 miles and we take 4 days to do it. I’m most comfortable with 300-350 miles per day. Typically we average 50 miles per hour at days end.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Keystone roof vents
I know my Keystone Montana has these. They are called Mushroom Roof Attic Vents. These covers screw on and you need to purchase base and cover as a set. They should be available at any Keystone dealer. We looked at Montana's in 05. I am a Finish Carpenter and know what things SHOULD look like. First impression was this is really nice, then I started to look past the bling and it was pathetic to say the least. Every time I mentioned an issue to the Salesman he said "we can fix that". Why the HE!! would they not have it "FIXED" before putting it on the lot??? I have seen this in many RV's we have looked at over the years but the Montana's of that era took the cake! My SuperGlide went from my GMC to a Ford. New under bed brackets were required. I did not install the new brackets but I do seem to remember talk of the install being a pita due to def tank location. The installer also left off the overload spring bracket which caused the rv to bump the drivers side truck bed rail. My SuperGlide was purchased in 2004. At the time lubriplate white grease was recommended. Sometime after that WD40 was recommended and at a still later date Sliplate was the lube to use. I still use white grease on the sliding parts and have never had a problem.995Views0likes0Comments
