All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: how to not destroy an alternator when charging LI batteries.Those tests on the PM of the none Belmar alternator are bogus because in most motorhomes the rpm of the alternator is 3 times the crank speed so at 800rpm crank speed(idle) the alternator would be doing 2400 rpm thus cooling a lot more. and when I drive down the road at 1900 rpm the alternator is doing 5700 rpm and could be putting out 165 amps. It might burn up at that amount of amps,but hasn't yet because it never reaches that.JMHORe: 100K miles25 years here too. 198,500 miles on my 5.9 12 valve and still runs great. I have a bypass oil filter and run the oil 15-16,000 every change and Blackstone says wear is low and I'm good to go 3,000 miles more each oil change.Re: Truck bed liner on roofOne might consider "Al's bedLiner", It can be sprayed on if you would want to do it yourself. Probably 5 kits and white dye would cost around $500 at Amazon. There are other bedliners that can be used also. I did the front of the old motorhome with Al's liner and it came out really good and is a dark blue that has not faded in 10 years that it has been on. It's your money...
