Looks like the short bed CC now comes with a 36-gallon fuel tank, and the payload numbers are up a bit. Too bad the 6.2L DI engine is not available yet. It surprises me that they have taken so long to make that available in the HD trucks. I really hope the extended cab comes back in 2015. Is Ford going to be the only way to get an extended cab now? Nobody panic... There will be regular, extended and crewcab models. Also you can get the 6 1/2 ft box with the 1/2 ton crewcab, instead of just the "shorty-short" 5' 8" box it has now. Dang, got here after you bought one. Oh well, just wanted to throw one more option nobody mentioned... Chevy 1500 with 6.2L engine and 3.73 diff. I debated the whole 3/4 or 1/2 ton issue also, since it was to be my daily driver also. I have been very pleased. It just fit my situation better. I guess I'll jump on the topic too. I have a 2011 with 6.2L. My dailing driving to work without towing is 17.6 mpg. With my previous 5.3L truck got about 18.6 mpg for the same commute. That is with almost always using 87 octane gas. I also tow my 6200 lb (loaded) trailer with it. I love the truck!! Although I thought they could have put better tire on it.384Views0likes0Comments
