The road down into the gorge and under the bridge is a nice ride.Re: Andersen hitchWe replaced our old WDH with an Anderson a couple years ago. Night and day difference in all respects. Quiet, smooth and no jerking. Easier to hook up. There is no way I would go back. We are pulling a 29.5' Earthbound with a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee.Re: Rheumatoid Arthritis. My mother takes Rheumate and it seems to help. It was actually recommended by her doctor. It is a supplement, but apparently it still needs to be prescribed by a physician. She is 94.Re: Best weight distribution hitch?I switched to the Andersen 'No-Sway' Weight Distribution Hitch a couple of years ago. It is easy to install. Pulls smooth and quiet with no noticeable sway. It is so much better than my old one. I pull a 30' travel trailer with a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can barely tell it is back there. It may be a bit more expensive, but definitely worth in my opinion.Re: New coffee makerI tend to like small and light stuff when camping. Maybe it comes from my backpacking and motorcycle travel/camping background. We began using the Aeropress for camping and it makes a great cup of coffee. But you need to heat the water in something else, so you need a teapot or regular pot. We bought one of these. It is a little slow, you have to pour water in for each cup, but it is cheap. No problem so far. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NADG4FR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We use Bunn MCU Single Cup Multi-Use Home Coffee Brewer at home most of the time. It will take a Keurig pod, regular ground coffee and even has a setting and accessory for tea bags. It has replaced our Keurig, our 8 cup coffee maker and our electric teapot. Unfortunately, they do not seem to be available currently. If you can find one, I would recommend it.Re: Plumbing HELP..?Buy a crimp tool. I bought one at Home Depot for under $30. I now carry a length of pex in both blue and red and a tool with crimp rings with me when I travel.Re: What brands of Travel Trailers are NEW & Quality grubbster wrote: This trend is happening across most purchased goods. It's not unique to the RV industry. It's our disposable culture. For RV quality I have been very happy with my NuCamp T@B. They are not cheap but quality and cheap almost never go together. The designs are well thought out and they use quality components including custom made baltic birch cabinets which are very solid. None of this quarter inch luan ply **** they use in most campers now. They are also coming out with a larger trailer soon that looks to rival Airstream in quality called the Avia. There are some tour videos on Youtube. Look them up. I got to tour the Avia at the RV show in Atlanta last weekend. It was stunning. 28' and 5000 lbs dry. A lot of aluminum and azdel panels. It's design and quality are way above that of the competition. So is the price. Approx. $60,000. It would be worth it to me, but I already have a Euro styled lightweight trailer, Earthbound Golden Ridge. It is 29' and 4735 dry and we tow it with our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Apparently I am drawn to innovation and good design. Take look at the Avia if you get the chance. Southland RV in Atlanta is apparently the dealer here.Re: Induction Cooktop Suggestions Bumpyroad wrote: GT928 wrote: It is only available from Tasty Shop: https://tastyshop.com/collections/tasty-one-top I bought mine with the cookware bundle as I needed some extra induction capable pans. looks to me to be twice the price of others. bumpy Astute observationRe: Induction Cooktop SuggestionsIt is only available from Tasty Shop: https://tastyshop.com/collections/tasty-one-top I bought mine with the cookware bundle as I needed some extra induction capable pans.Re: Grand CherokeeWe tow a 4400 LB (dry weight) trailer with a 2013 Grand Cherokee Overland Hemi which is rated for 7200 lbs for towing. Loaded I estimate that we are under 6200 Lbs. Only 2 in the car. Not sure why the new ones have a lower tow rating. Anyway I have absolutely no problems or concerns with my towing setup.
