The CG can tell you more of where to go and where to stay away from. I live right outside of the city. It does get a bad rap. There is really alot to do here. And yes,, they do know how to party ! Saints games are always a good bet. You wil enjoy.. BillRe: Propane fill for RV in New Orleans.lots of hardware stores sell it. You would have to go to them but there's several. Also a couple of RV parks close that sell it too.Re: RV Storage in New Orleans? Advice from a Local? There are also a few Mini Storage places on Jefferson Hwy in Jefferson 70121, if you are looking for a place just to store your unit and are not staying in it. Most are very secure and locked up . BillRe: RV Storage in New Orleans? Advice from a Local? Those areas are not the best for staying. Bayou segnette Park is a good option. 15 mins from uptown New Orleans. I think you would feel more secure there. I don't live too far from there and as in most towns there are some good and not so good areas. Uptown is great but I would stay away from your 2 picks. There is also a KOA in Kenner on Jefferson Hwy. That is maybe 5 -10 more mins away. Hope this helps.. BillRe: Thieves at campsite!I have had them break into my trailer when we were gone. Stole lot's of stuff. Real bad feeling !! And campground did not want to even get involved. That is what makes me wonder, if I ever go full time how will I protect all my stuff. Bummer when you have to lock up every litle thing !!..Re: 03 silverado dash clusterHad to replace mine in my 05 gmc. Very common problem and not that costly thru internet. They even have video's to show you how to do it. Very easy to do yourself.Re: Security questionThanks for all the input. I know they are easy to break into. And if you are not in camper alot they can be easy targets.Security questionHey Guy's, new to the forum on this end. But have been camping most of my life. In between campers at this time and starting to plan for full-time in the next 2-3 years. My question is this, seems like I will have most of my life with me on the road. How do you keep the camper secure and not lose all your things ? I already had 2 break ins and lost alot. Can't imagine what I will need for full time. How do you keep it safe from the bad guy's ?
