That is the way they have building their trailers for years. Winter camping will have the same risks as any other trailer, you need to figure out how you will protect the water lines, drain systems and what to do about condensation. Wow, fancy name for 2 vents! So if I understand, keeping the propane furnace running will keep the water lines and fresh/grey/black from freezing, or will I need to skirt the trailer as well?Re: kz connect 241bhk Late fall / Early Winter Camping Lwiddis wrote: KOA has a pretty good article for beginners at.. https://koa.com/blog/winter-rv-camping-guide-tips-for-cold-weather-rving/ Thanks for this. Will read through it.kz connect 241bhk Late fall / Early Winter CampingHello, I have a 2019 kz connect 241bhk with the climate package. We were considering doing some late fall/early winter camping. Want to make sure we know what we are up against, any suggestions welcome, anything specific to our model much appreciated!Re: Replacing our stolen TT - Model Options bid_time wrote: The insurance company is going to give you a check for the insured value per the insurance policy, minus any liens and deductibles, and you can go buy anything you want. The insurance company doesn't care what you buy or what it costs. They write a check as outlined above and they are done, case closed. Our policy indicates we get a brand new trailer of "like" kind with "like" features. The closest one we found is the Keystone Bullet. Considering other manufacturers too.Re: Replacing our stolen TT - Model OptionsYes. Still looking. Im asking for input on the keystone trailers, and considering an upgrade.Replacing our stolen TT - Model OptionsHi, we are trying to replace our stolen 24 foot bunk house. After looking at all dealers within an hour drive, we have found two models that we really like, and another that we like but may be too large / too pricey. 1. 2019 KEYSTONE BULLET ULTRA LITE 243BHS. This one is closest too our as far as size and features. I think this is what the insurance will try to get us as a replacement. 2. 2019 KZ connect C241BHK. Very similar to #1, is slightly larger -- has some features we really like. It has a longer queen bed (Better for me), Factory installed Bike/Cargo rack, Large cargo doors, larger fridge, and slightly larger dinette. It is a little longer than the keystone, and $1000 more which would likely need to come from our pocket. 3. 2018 Keystone - Bullet 287QBS This one is larger and different. We will need to shell out an extra $2000 on this, but its definitely an upgrade. The kids really like the bunk room to have friends come along. We like the huge slide out with the sofa and large bathroom with shower doors. Lots of room and privacy. The only concern about #3 is the weight. My truck is rated to tow 10,000 lbs, but 1570 lbs of payload. Loaded up, we'll be around 850-900 lbs of tongue weight. With Passengers and some gear we will be close to the payload. I'm used to towing a 24 foot, will it be a big difference towing the extra 3 - 4 feet? I have no experience with keystone, hoping to get some input on the manufacturer and particular models.Re: Replacing our stolen TTYep! Thats the dealer. I have had luck with them in the past. Good to hear you had good experience with them. Not sure about the merger though.Replacing our stolen TTGood Evening. Last week, we were shocked to learn our trailer was stolen from the property we parked it on. We called insurance, and luckily, it looks like they will replace with a new model. We got lucky there! Our trailer was a 2012 KZ sportsmen 242SBH. We have been looking, and a close replacement is the 2018 Sportsman 231BHLE. The problem is, this does not have fiberglass siding, which mine did. The next closest thing is the 2018 KZ connect 241bhk. We really like the floorplan, and it seems to be well-built. We were pretty happy with our original KZ, other than the mice kept getting in somehow... I like Jayco's products too, but couldn't seem to find a model that had the same floorplan/features (specifically, the solid doors on the bedroom ;) ), and the extra large bed. There are 2 TV's included which is a bonus. 2 year warranty is nice too. Does anyone know any other similar manufacturers/floorplans to consider? Anyone know of any issues with the connect?Re: Toy Haulers - Looking for general infoThanks for this. I already had an eye on the jayco octane 222. Looks sweet. I guess we will see when the time comes, but I want to be prepared. Is there any special features that are sought after on these toy haulers? Any manufacturer known for better warranties?Toy Haulers - Looking for general infoHello, unfortunately(or fortunately, depending how you look at it). Our 24 foot travel trailer was stolen a few days ago. Insurance says they are going to replace it with a similar 2018 modal, but we may have the option to upgrade. I have a side by side (its a large 60" wide model approx 10 ft long) that I'd like to bring along, so I was considering a toy hauler. I wouldn't want to put in a lot more money, so I'm guessing we would be looking at the lower end models, we have 2 boys and two adults to sleep. Some privacy for the adults would be nice. Also, I have a half ton, so looking for a smaller/lighter unit, 24-26 feet. We loved our KZ camper but couldnt keep the mice out of it. Not sure if there are any "better" trailers in this regard.
