It may be made if plastic or brass, I have seen both. Easy fix if you can get to it. I have found that the retainer used to keep the valve open wears out and releases resulting in the valve closing and thus no hot water can pass to the faucets.Re: seattle to crater lake NPMost direct route is I5 south to just below Eugene, Or. From there depends on where you plan to stay in or near the park. If you do not plan to take the MH to the lake rim, I would not use the parks north entrance. If you prefer I5, take it to Central Point and then follow signs to Crater Lake which will bring you to the south entrance which is where the Mazama campground. Or, can catch hwy 58 just past Eugene to hwy 97 to Chiloquin and then cross over to hwy 62 and back up to the south entrance to the park. I have done all three routes in MH towing our edge without difficulty. There are some long climbs no matter which route you take. I grew up and lived in Fort Klamath in the 50's and 60's and worked for the park service as a truck driver in the summer. Gorgeous place, I always tried to arrange to eat lunch somewhere around the rim. If you are capable of hiking down to the lake, take the boat ride if they are still operating. You see things from lake level looking up that you can't appreciate from the rim drive although you will certainly want to do that as well. Have a great time.Re: Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In OregonI think you mean PUC permit. You will see diesel prices posted at stations and on some web sites that do not include fuel tax. Often stations post the untaxed price and say "w/PUC." The fuel tax for truckers is based on several things including weight, number of axles, etc.Re: DISH TVJust two weeks ago, after 20 years with Directv I switched to Dish, using the same tripod and a new Dish antenna. I have set it up 3 times and have easily locked in on the three satellites with little problem and no meter. Almost seems easier than Directv for what ever reason, maybe just lucky. Love their Hopper 3 receiver and lower bill.Re: Rincon Parkway, site availabilityArrived at 12,many spaces available. Perfect beach weather. Life is good.Rincon Parkway, site availabilityThinking of running over tomorrow to escape the heat for 4 or days. Anyone there or been there this weekend to know how full it is?Re: Macerator Pro&Con SoundGuy wrote: br549 wrote: He was using his and a wad of "something" hung up just ahead of the blender and nothing would pass. Hard to fix stupid :W ... ensure that only TP and the obvious ends up in the black water tank and no waste macerator should have any difficulty dealing with it. ;) Hard to say. They are long time RVers, Good Same Lifers and still in their non-slide Country Coach. I do some repairs for them since he isn't as nimble as he once was. Just wasn't ready to tackle this one!Re: Macerator Pro&ConMostly positive stuff here so I will post a situation a friend had last year. He was using his and a wad of "something" hung up just ahead of the blender and nothing would pass. He tried moving the MH, a plunger, already near full tank, etc with no success. He had to call a mobile serviceman and it was a messy and expensive job to remove and replace the unit in order to remove the clog. Just one situation I would prefer to avoid. I guess they do have advantages as many have stated if you have a need for lengthy or uphill disposal.Hwy 17, Santa Cruz to Los GatosWe will be leaving Moss Landing and headed to Bodega Bay. My mapping program wants to take us out to Hwy 101 and north. I was wondering about Hwy 17. Will be driving our Phaeton and towing the Edge. Would 17 be a wise choice?Current Rincon and Emma Wood conditions? We will begin our trip north in a week or so and we usually stay a few days at Rincon. Has anyone been there or Emma Woods to know if storm repairs have been made?
