Here for most people they are for pleasure and or as a secondary means of transportation. One exception might be College students. In The Netherlands and other urban environments it is common for a bike to be a primary means of transportation. As a result you might find that the responses to your survey from the US are very different than from respondents in the EU or Asia. Good luck. By the way we our son is considering a semester to full year of study in Delft. It's a really nice place.Re: Dogs in TT's dvitale300 wrote: Yea - having the same thoughts. My problem is that I have a shell on my truck, but the hatch won't go all the way down when hooked to the trailer (hit's the propane units). Un-hitching the thing every couple hundred miles so they can pee is not an appealing idea. I have to say that I did not read all of the replies on this post so I apologize if this is a repeat. We had a similar issue with our truck and was able to buy an extended shank for our Equal-i-zer hitch. It was not cheap but gave us the needed extra inches to open the tailgate when the TT is hitched. You should look into that as an option then the dogs could ride under the shell in the back.Re: Removing old cracked decalsWe have had very good luck with Goo Gone.Re: 2 1/2" Receiver Hitch and 2" Equal-I-Zer ShankI have a Dodge with a Reese Titan hitch 2 1/2 inch. I use a sleeve on my 14K/1400 lb Equalizer and have not seen any evidence of deformation or spalling on the sleeve after several years. I would not worry about using the sleeve. Also if you end up with a different truck that has a 2 inch hitch you can still use your Equalizer. If you go to the 2.5 inch shank your options may be limited. Just my $.02Re: Ideas to address truck tail light reflection from camper? You could put blue painters tape over the tail light lenses before loading the camper.Re: Cooking and drinking waterWe always leave with a full FW tank. At the CG we tend to not hook up to the connection but run using the on board supply then just re-fill the tank at the site as needed or before we go to the next place. Using the pump it is easier to make sure the pump is off before we leave the TT for the day. Much less change of a flood if a pipe or valve fails. Also we rarely have FHU sites.Re: All Roads Lead To Roam, or a western whazposé of picturesDarn now I have to go back to Utah again and see more of the sights I missed on previous trips. Thanks for the wonderful report. We all wish you the best in your transition back to AZ.Re: Our Best Camping Experience - With New Added PhotosGood to see that they are letting Salukis out to stretch their legs. Nice shots.Re: Traveling with the propane on.We turn on the frig to auto mode a day or two before we leave and don't touch the control until we unload after returning. So it's on AC when plugged in and on LP when not, including on the road and dry camping.Re: Moab- tips, suggestions? tralertrash wrote: researching shows early June is 85H/52L on temps, so it should cool off enough to sleep w/o power. Any tips on snagging a spot on BLM land, or is it not a big deal? We stayed in Arches w/o power in June and the nights were cool enough for sleeping.
