If so did you notice most of the RV spaces were uneven? I as well as other motor homes had to block their front wheels because to level it the front wheels were off the ground. I was in one other newer RV resort that was like that. Didn't they do research before they put it together. Otherwise it is a beautiful RV park. I always wondered what it would be like to stay on an Indian reservation! Stayed there a few times when in the area and I think you have some wrong info on the sites. They are level concrete pads! Looking for recommendations on a website or app that I can use to find public or private RV sites that CAN FILTER my request. Good Sam campground finder is largely a waste of time as I can't specify that I want 50amp or FHU or Big Rig friendly. I've heard of Passport America but I don't see a filtering capability. Are there others you can recommend or have had experience with? Thanks.... Here are 2 examples, Passport America and RV Park Reviews, of the same park we are visiting soon. Tucson area is about 56 miles further down the interstate and Phoenix is about 59 miles the other way on I-10. In other words the Silverado RV Resort is centrally located for anything you want to look at.Re: 7-8 ft of snow in the SierrasNo problem waiting out the weather, in S. Az, before getting back home again this year(and that would be April) . :)Re: Leaving RV in AZ in summer? samsontdog wrote: I have a bunch of Park Models that I rent out here in Yuma . I turn off the elect, water for 7 months. I also leave 7 or 8 gallon milk cartons thruout the Park Models and Houses with water in them. I cover all the windows, toilets, all drains in sink, shower etc I have been doing this since 2000. Works for me. We also leave two cars here for 7 months. I make sure batterys are charged up, I disconnect the battery. Come back in Oct and cars start right up. The cars are under awning cover with 3 car covers over them and still get dust in and over them Good post...perfect!Re: trip plannerHow long has it been since Streets & Trips was discontinued? There are alternatives some being mentioned here.Re: Best GPS? JKJavelin wrote: I just retired 2 days ago and 2 management guys chipped in and bought me a Rand McNally RVND 7 RV GPS. You load your dimensions of your rig into it and supposedly avoids routes that you'd get into trouble with. I just charged it and and loaded updates and I'll be trying it out in about 2 days... retirement trip--coming up. JK Our Rand 7710 has been everything we wanted since we bought it in 2011...and more. If it ever crapped out I would get another in a heart beat!!Re: trip plannerWe usually don't go by miles...time on the road is our consideration. Like being at our next over-night by 4pm (cocktails at 5pm ya know) and typically leave by 9 or 10am. Sometimes we are on the road for a couple of hours and sometimes longer...there is no rush for us anymore. Safe travels....Re: Fireplace fan issue edatlanta wrote: There is an instruction step by step on the Dimplex site to open the unit up and clean it. It collects a lot of dust due to the air it moves over time. I use high pressure air to blow it all off and the problem is solved. I have had to do this twice in 7.5 years of full time use (8 winters). Tip: Take a picture or two of the wiring before you unplug. There aren't many to remove, but you sure want to put them back correct. Will take a look...good idea on a pic.
