The slide would move 3-4 inches then jam out of line. The solution we found on line. Simply run them in and out as far as it will go several times and the motors some how re-synch and have not had any further issues.Re: Sailun tiresI've bought several sets of tires from SimpleTire.com including a set of 5 G rated Sailuns for our new then Solitude 5'er. Arrived in a couple days. Price was very reasonable and delivery was prompt. Couldn't yank the factory at the time, Westlakes off fast enough and replace with G rated Sailun tires. All the Westlakes had were delivery miles and 250 to get the trailer from the dealer to our long term RV site. Poof gone. Now they sit in the garage in a pile as no one will take them.Re: New Superduty 5th wheel towingGot a 2017 F-450 tows our 40' overweight 5'er great. Had to raise our B & W 5'er hitch as the bed rail clearance was very close. Before I adjusted the bed hitch, 15 mins and 4 bolts later it was only a couple fingers worth and going in and out of parking lots was dicey. Now have 6". Our 12' truck camper on the other hand required that I build a 2" platform in the bed so the camper would not rest on the bed rails.Re: Toilet PaperWe use Kirkland Brand from COSTCO 2 ply at home and in both RV's systems. Watched a video of the name brands and Kirkland. Kirkland is much cheaper then buying the big names at the grocery store and scored very well in the breakdown test in the video vs. some of the bigger name brands. No RV toilet paper was tested as a comparison. We have had no issues with Kirkland. Just proper black tank use, maintenance and cleaning following dumps when we leave the site.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2018It's a big state Ken. You won't come across many during your travels. Unless you arrange a meeting at a specific location.Re: So who really uses the coach dishwasherWhen I'm staying in the RV the dishwasher gets used. I shop, I cook, but I don't do dishes. That's why I bought it. While she lives in it alone she can wash dishes in the sink till the cows come home.Re: Bedroom slide stutters - Cedar CreekIs your slide electric or hydraulic? We have both on our 5th wheel. Bedroom is electric and the two motors got out of synch so the two tracks were fighting each other. Causing the slide to bind after moving partially in. We were able to re-synch the motors and retract our slide and get on our way.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2018On our last visit in 2016 we stayed 4 nights on the Homer Spit and some friends took us out on their nice fishing boat and we limited on Halibut in shortly over an hour. Then we motored over to Seldovia and spend a few hours checking out the community. Enjoyed the visit. Shipped home 40 lbs of frozen halibut from Homer. Yummy fish.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2018Life's fun in the Last Frontier.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2018It's a PITA when your on the road. My Ford when I was in Anchorage holds 15 qts. 1st the drain container then the disposal. I took it to a lube place, had my own oil and filter with me and they did a nice, quick oil and filter change. When on the road I pay for services. When at home I do it myself.
