Memphis is not safe at times and this is a nice little park outside the war zone. Nice park when we stayed in 2005. Fun seeing tge barges going by day and night. FlaguyRe: 30' Arctic Fox FW drainWhen I had my Artic Fox years ago had great service direct from Northwood. Just give them a call and ask. The chances of having to leave due to weather means this isn't going to be really "for a year". More like a few "multi month" stays. A year will be over before you know it. I spend five months of winter in the SW, and I just pull in and set up the same as I would for a few days. X2Re: Best electric tongue jack? After going thru 2 jacks in 4 years got a Husky from PPL and so far I am impressed but time will tell. It sure looks like it is better made than the ones CW sells. Got it on sale last winter for just a bit over 200 bucks with no shipping charges. FlaguyRe: awning priceI have done this job 2 times with my son helping (50 years old). This company has I think the the best price. quality and service. http://www.toughtopawnings.com/ Hope this helps. FlaguyRe: Electric A-frame jacks.. Husky or Bulldog???I got a Husky 4500# from PPL this spring and love it. For a 28 ft trailer I know it's is overkill but went thru 2 lighter jacks in the last 4 years. Had to enlarge the hole a bit but wasn't that hard. If not careful it can left the pickup off the ground. FlaguyRe: Online Parts Ordering? Randu wrote: I like to support the local guy but many times he is double on line pricing and there are many on line "Great" vendors. Camping World is good to stroll aisles and pick up something here or there but again pricing can be a issue unless on sale. Personally here are my top 3 on line retailers in addition to AMAZON. Got it from Amazon and it lifts my trailer tongue and back of truck easily. I am now able to snap up the brackets on my Blue Ox Sway Pro by hand. I highly reccomend this jack. After going thru 2 jacks in 4 years I just installed a 4,500 lb made by Husky. Got mine from PPL for just a few dollars over $200. Good reviews and sure looks good. Time will tell as just installed a couple of weeks ago. FlaguyRe: How many of you tow with a Toyota Tundra?I hope this doesn't go into a "which is best". I pull a 28 foot Komfort TT weights about 6,000 lb. +. It is a 2014 Tundra Platinum. four door short box with cap and couldn't be happier. I go over the Cascade Mountains all the time and keep up with the traffic. My traveling partner which has a 31 foot TT and diesel Ram and lags behind on long grades. My mechanic guy told me that he see very few Tundra in his shop compared to other brands. It is a stout rig. I thought the tire life of 38,000 was a little short. See what the new replacements tires get. So fare at 45,000 miles zero repairs and no factory defects or recalls except a new canvas bag for my jack (it had a new label, must be some dumb fed regulation). The only down side I guess is the gas mileage and small gas tank (guess the new ones have a larger tank now). I get just under 10 MPG pulling and 16-17 MPG on the highway not pulling. We are going into our fourth year and are very happy. I have not done anything special to our rig beside the standard WD hitch, electric brake hook up etc. Flaguy
