That fridge or other current draw can sure kill a battery in the truck fast!Re: TorkLift is Having a Product Idea ContestGreat idea! Like having many, many designers on staff almost for free.Re: Would more room make loading easier or harder?I solved the dually clearance problem by installing a piece of 2 X 2 X14" long square tubing between the brackets and jack on each side. Quick and strong. Just removed the bolts drilled holes in tubing to match the bracket and got longer bolts to replace the originals. To be safe, and because they were readily available,I used some class 8 bolts vs the originals.Re: rear sway barPut a Hellwig on my 3500 Chev. dually w/ Lance 1181 and found much improvement .Re: The Emotions in a TCOur experience has been the same about TC's and their versility! Started with Shadow Cruiser pop up TC, went to Lance 915, then Lance 1181. Bought Lazy Daze 30 foot Class C, next Winnebago Luxor with Allsteer system. Now back with a Chevy diesel p/u with a Lance TC. It is so handy to jump in, go most anyplace, make an easy U turn if desired and still have enough room to be comfortable and enjoy the time together!Re: FarewellWelcome, I know you will enjoy your new lifestyle in Florida. Ever notice that many people say that they are going to retire and move to Florida? Not too many folks say they are going to retire and move North! There is a reason for that. Enjoy!Re: Spare FuelHaving trouble with the time to pour fuel from containers sounds like a venting issue with those goofy new style jugs. Remedy: look for UTUBE video showing venting solution using tire valve stem installed in upper part of jug handle area. It only involves one 1/2 inch hole and a valve stem with the core removed. Tried it and it works great!!Re: Looking for inovative ideas for auxillary fuel tank???I have used an electric automotive fuel pump to transfer fuel into a tee in the small vent line of the fill tube. The pump used 5/16 fuel line and required quite a long time to transfer 35 gallons. My main tank was 42 gallons. I would turn the pump on when the main tank gauge was showing about 1/8. When driving, the fuel being used would be replaced so slowly, that I never had an overflow situation. If I had noticed the fuel tank gauge getting close to indicating FULL, I would simply shut off the transfer pump.Re: Use of Generators to run Air Conditioners when campingThe use of generators for use with medical equipment is sometimes necessary, we understand. I too,am in that boat. However I do not feel that my situation should be a burden upon others or make their lives less enjoyable. When I need electricity for my device, I go where electricity is available. That is just being considerate of others.Re: Used Truck camper shopping - Outside damage adviseW
