The main problems were cabinet door finish failing, levelers not working, and the slide not working. There were apparently other smaller issues the author never elaborates on. The big three all seem to have been contractor/manufacturer issues not problems caused by Nexus themselves. These types of issues can come up with any manufacturer. Most of the time delay was caused by the cabinet door maker which was eventually resolved by going to a new source. I wouldn't expect this issue to come up again. There may have been a learning curve contributor as the rvpainter unit was built during the first year of Nexus manufacturing (2011/2012). Despite it all, rvpainter remained bullish on Nexus for the support they received in resolving the issues. None the less, your question to owners about warranty issues is a good one and I look forward to the responses you get.Re: Fantasy Tours Albuquerque Balloon FestWhich parking area does the Fantasy Tour park in? Which parking area does the Adventure Caravans group park in? Thanks!Re: Questions for Nexus Owners bzboy wrote: I bought my own and have it secured in the back compartment with tiedowns. There are four metal rings you can strap to. Haven't moved at all. I have been looking at the 28P so curious about this. Were the rings standard, an option, or something you installed? So, the tire is laying flat in the compartment? A couple of other questions: Do you know the OCCC for the 28P? Do you know or have you weighed your coach for axle weights (or better) 4 corner weights? Is there a place for the sewer hose? (couldn't tell from video) Thanks!Re: New TV with dual voltage homefor2 wrote: I've been trying to decide what kind of TV I should buy that would run off batteries while dry camping. I bought a Samsung HD 24" TV at Costco which had a converter and was designed for 110 V. It said 14V output on the power box so I went to Radio Shack and bought a lighter socket power cord with the same size fitting that goes into the TV as the factory power converter. I just by passed the factory converter plugged into 12v and it works perfect. Now I can use either power source with the new TV. Do you remember the Radio Shack product # you bought? Thanks!Re: On the Road with "Roll Call Alaska 2013"...... lizzie wrote: We have been in Dawson City since Wed. waiting for word about the Dempster. I think we are going to have to move on. Traveled to Alaska in 2009 and are planning another trip this year. We don't pull a toad, and as far as the Alaska trip the only time it would have been of some use would have been in Anchorage and Fairbanks but even then not a big deal. The ferry is good especially if you take time to get off to visit the towns on the way. As mentioned, much cheaper to use Prince Rupert than Bellingham and you still cover the prettiest parts. But why the ferry both ways? You say you're full timers, why not start early and take it easy and drive at least one way? We go up through the Canadian Rockies (Banff & Jasper) and the Alaskan Highway and come down the Cassiar. Mosquitos are around but not so much as to affect the trip or taking our time. You can miss a lot by taking the ferry both ways.Re: Do Canadian Walmarts accept US Drug plans1)Per my recollection, Canada doesn't recognize/fill prescriptions from US doctors. Someone more knowledgeable can confirm this. 2) Unless Walmart has changed recently, you have to "move" a prescription to a site before it can be filled there vs. Walgreen's single database of prescriptions that can be filled at any (US) site. 3)A lot easier to get a "vacation" fill of prescriptions..this is where a pharmacy gives you extra, say a month's worth, to cover you while out of town. Talk with your pharmacy to see if your insurance allows this. 4) Worst case pay for a few extra pills out of pocket, if not exorbitant, so you can just enjoy the trip and not have to stop and fill a prescription.
