And, it would not hurt to stock up on, or replenish, some supplies while there. :) Most, but not all will let you stay overnight; just don't put the jacks down, and, unless absolute necessary, don't put the slides out. It is best to find a spot on the outside perimeter of the parking lot. Lastly, pay no attention to the 'trolls' that may call you 'cheap' for not using a regular rv campground. :) Thanks! I don't anticipate needing to do this but we never know when our eyes just won't stay open and there's no place else around. Nice to know it's a better-safe-than-sorry option.Re: What is 'WalMarting?'Thank you! I keep forgetting to 'search' - will do.What is 'WalMarting?'We are new to RVing and will pick up our TT this month. I have the sense from reading the forums that it means parking in a WalMart parking lot to sleep or even overnight. Does WalMart like this practice or not? If we ever need to get some sleep and park there would someone come knocking on our window at 3am??Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosDoes anyone who has a shower curtain rather than an enclosure been successful in adding an enclosure (without adding too much weight)? Is there some kind of work-around that's been thought of?Re: Keeping Things Cold on the RoadAs the OP in this thread I must say it's been entertaining. I posted the question on my first day with RV.Net. This is our first foray away from tenting and I am surprised at the off-topic responses; I thought RVers were all-around 'happy campers.' Is this thread typical??Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos Merrykalia wrote: Lynda Singer Island wrote: I am researching portable 'washing' machines and there are so many styles and brands. We learned alot from your comments and really appreciate all of your advice. This is our first TT although we don't actually have it yet. Picking it up in Indiana at the end of November and our old bones are excited to be done with tents!Keeping Things Cold on the RoadInterested to know how long things in refrigerator stay cold while traveling and if anything in the freezer thaws out if we're on, say, an 8 hour road day. Just bought a TT and haven't used it yet.
