Don't trust this from happening again and didn't need any hassles. .... and this is what "cheeses" me off. I have no idea who you folks are, but, i'm sure you are good people, who work their tails off to spend family time camping, and than you have to deal with this stuff. It's just not right, and again, the problem is, the people in Toronto who run this stuff have not camped a day in their lives..... they wouldn't be caught dead camping! We had reservations for New Years Eve, and a few weeks before, and the indians were still there, Ontario Parks offered me a full refund.... and i said nope, u have had my money for 5 months, i want a cancellation fee from you now! The guy on the other end fumbled and whatever.... caught him by surprise. I didn't want a refund, i wanted my camp site! Enough is enough Ontario Parks .... you need to make it perfectly clear with this moron, do it again, and you will be charged with trespassing. Grow some **** Nads, and stick up for the people who really appreciate family time, and this great park!Re: Pinery Provincial Park closed againKnew this one would not last long ..... Ontario Parks cannot afford to have their Golden Goose disrupted! Summer is coming, and they need those 1000 campsites filled, plus their day use crowd there. But it is good to know, that once again, they were going to refund your reservation money if need be! What a joke, sit on my money for 5 months, and we'll refund you the full amount! How nice of them. Next time i have to cancel for some family emergency or whatever, i will tell them it's because of the indians, and this way i will get all my money back! Man i wish i knew who runs this part of our government!Re: Pinery Provincial Park closed againWhen i heard this this morning, i could not believe it. When will this BS end. When will Ontario Parks/ OPP / Ontario Government grow some nads and say enough is enough, get out or get arrested. I have no issues with someone protesting, but, stand near the entrance like any other protestors would do, and wait to see if someone honks in support ( don't hold your breath). If anyone else did this, we'd be behind bars with a lighter wallet. My thoughts are, take your trailer, and your signs, go home, than tomorrow go out and get yourself a job, than someday down the road you can actually buy a piece of land with your own money, not tax payers, and set up there ..... like all of us taxpayers do everyday, than when we can, go to this park, pay incredibly high rates, and enjoy family time!Re: Pinery Provincial Park ...... CLOSED! Pipeman wrote: I don't know what happened but I was able to book from May 15th to the 22nd. Went into site 691 again as my son wants to dry camp down the road from us. He said put in up to 32 feet long and no problem. I'm 35 feet long and fit into 691 with lots of room. There are sites with hydro but we can dry camp and I carry 2 collapsible water bladders and a 35 gallon sewer tote. 691 is kind of secluded except for the road that goes by the front. I just park the truck sideways across the front of the site. So the Pinery it is for the May 24 weekend. Then out to Alberta in June until August sometime. My brother-in-law retired from Windsor about a year ago .... they camp too. Im just always reading though jayco quality went down the tubes.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXMJrRQ3SVk This has to be the stupidest video, well, not a stupid video, a good video that attracts all the stupid comments. I'm sure it takes most RV manufacturers 7 hours to build one, but Jayco is the only to have the balls to do this video. I just get **** tired of reading all the stupid comments. You don't have the #1 selling trailer line for 12 years if you are building ****.... if you don't have one, don't comment on quality. They are still building a great trailer .... and the Jayflight u see being built is the best bang for your buck, and most other manufacturers salivate at the thought of having the success it hasRe: Pinery Provincial Park ...... CLOSED! Jebby14 wrote: im booked for a GIANT family camping trip there this summer. they best not get their skins in a bunch and bugger this up for me. Not a chance for that to happen .... that will be when the park is in full swing and full. Do you think Ontario Parks would allow that to happen? Ontario Parks thinks of only one thing, themselves and their money! Case N Point ..... when they advised campers in November on the Thursday they had to leave the park for safety reasons. Screw that ****, if you believe there may be safety issues, you send in a few more Ontario Parks Security people, but no, that would mean they'd have to spend more money. The people in Toronto have their heads up there you know whats, and this was a great example. Imagine planning a weeks vacation, waiting all year for it to arrive, get there, and than be told you have to leave, because of 3 individuals?? It was just poorly handled, and the people at Ontario Parks should be ashamed!Re: Importing from CanadaI have gone the opposite way numerous times, and due to NAFTA, we pay 0 duties, but Canadian taxes at border and when we register. Guess it's not a good time for you for our Canadian Dollar to gain some strength! What dealer in Ontario??Re: Pinery Provincial Park ...... CLOSED! Pipeman wrote: rickm, just wondering if you had your trailer there? If you did and I'm presuming you did, how the heck did you guys get out of there with all that snow on the ground? Tried to reserve for May but no joy. We stayed in 691 for 10 days last year. Great site to boondock in.So we booked 2 weeks in Waterton Lakes National park in southern Alberta for the end of June. I guess I showed them, eh...lol No, my trailer is sitting in the driveway, we rented one of the Yurts. They are awesome. As for the snow, the park stayed right on the snowfall, plowing the roads often, and they have one kick ass driveable snowblower that goes on your site and clears a path for you. There was almost too much snow for the cross country skiers! 691 is a good site ..... if you don't mind the traffic, never have to worry about anyone camping behind you :)Re: Pinery Provincial Park ...... CLOSED!Well,on here for 1st time since the New Year. Happy to report, New Years Eve weekend at the Pinery was good. Mother Nature could have eased up a bit on the frigid temps, but she made up for it with the Snow Storm on the saturday afteroon, dumping almost 10" of snow on us throughout the day, making the Park a winter wonderland ..... last few years, between the Pine and Macgregor Point, we saw very little snow, so this more than made up for the 2 prior years. Made for some awesome picture taking! Sure did burn alot of wood on New Years Eve Day. We were outside all day, and the fire kept us warm ( so did the beverages), and needless to say, my darling wife had to wake me at midnight!Re: Different TT constructionLast time i checked ..... the #1 selling line of travel trailers ( Jayflight ) is built the good ole fashion way!
