I keep a 10' sewer hose with connectors on one side and just a 10' extension on the other in one of them. In the second one I keep a hose that's only used for the blank tank flush and then a "junk" garden hose on the other side that I can use to just drain my gray tank. Keeps everything hand and out of the way.Re: Moving spots at RV park ? about weight distributionI wouldn't worry about it just to move around the park. I used to store my TT about a 1/2 mile from the campground and since it was an old country road where I could go slow I would just drop it on the ball and never had a problem. This was with a heavier TT (about 7K) and 1/2 ton pick-up (not the one in my signature).Re: Do you need to sanitize a water tank that's never been used?I don't drink the water out of my tank but still sanitize it every spring when I prep the trailer. Doesn't take that long.Re: What % Of Alcohol Does Your State Have? 3 tons wrote: With one of the world’s biggest breadbaskets forced to likely forego it’s next crop planting season, and food prices beginning to escalate, seems like the perfect misuse of America’s corn…JMO 3 tons That's what I was wondering. Isn't it just going to drive the price of corn up either leaving less for food products or make them cost even more???? I'd rather pay the $.10/gallon more than have my groceries get even more expensive.Re: How's that 6.6 gas working for you?I'm towing about 7,500 with a '21 GMC Sierra 2500 with the 6.6 gas engine. Especially after coming from a 1500, the 2500 tows our trailer with ease. It's a much more comfortable relaxing ride now. As for mileage, non-towing I've gotten anywhere from about 11 or 12 around town to about 17-18 on the highway. Towing, around 9-10 but that's not much difference than I was getting with the 1500.Re: Multiple Buyers. Who gets the RV?Cash in hand. When I first started selling stuff on our local Marketplace apps I can't tell you how many times people would say "I'll be there at 5 PM to get it" and then never show. Meanwhile I've turned other people away. And now if I go back to those other people I've lost my bargaining position to some extent because they know my other buyer didn't pan out. Now I do everything it's not sold until you pay me for it and I make everyone aware that this is how I do it.Re: Reese Straight Line Weight Distribution Hitch QuestionI went from 600 lb bars to 800 lb bars to 1200 lb bars all with the same hitch head and I've been using the 1200 bars for 14 years now so you should be fine to just get new bars.Re: New Shank for 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HDSo in hindsight I see I just said it didn't work and didn't state why. On the part of the shank that goes into the receiver it starts at the 2.5" but then there is a small ridge and it expands just a little where it would normally be sticking out of the receiver but the problem I'm running into is that I'm coming up maybe an 1/8" short of being able to put the hitch pin in because the expansion on the shank hits the receiver and won't let it go in far enough. I may be able to go with a shorter shank and still be ok with the jack because I do have some room to spare when the tailgate is down so maybe I need to look at that closer to see if I can find a shorter extension on the shank that will fit.Re: New Shank for 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HDThanks everyone. I have thought about rotating the jack and may end up doing that. As for Etrailer, that's where I originally ordered the Titan from but ended up canceling it because even though they said they had it in stock the ship date kept moving out further and further and they couldn't give me a good explanation why so I canceled it.New Shank for 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HDHello, I recently upgraded to a 3/4 ton truck and it has the 2.5" receiver. I didn't want to mess around with the adapter so I picked up a Reese Titan shank however it doesn't fit correctly. So my question is what are you using for a weight distributing hitch that has a 2.5" shank with about a 12" extension from the hitch pin to the holes for the WD head? I need the clearance so I can put the tailgate down when I'm hooked up. Thanks, Mike
