Cherokee is much nicer to tow and it is a 2016 with zero death wobble. I am not sure why it is important to show you booty and try and explain what "death wobble" is to everyone. The original (if such a thing) is an issue that stemmed from lifting Broncos, Jeeps, and trucks long, long time ago. The large tires provide a large amount of torque on the front suspension with anything that causes a tire to spin funny can create the wobble. The issue on the Cherokee has nothing to with death wobble. It is the lack of steer behind the motorhome and causes a hop as it goes back and forth. Death wobble on the lifted vehicles can actually be controlled with a stabilizer until it is too severe. Tire balance and/or worn components equals death wobble. It is a different think on the Cherokee, but who cares. I am glad Jeep/MOPAR decided to address it. WW Did you have the flat tow harness installed on the Cherokee or do you tow it as is?Re: Caution About Buying a Car with Electronic Power Steering Tripalot wrote: We tow a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk. I have a Wrangler I tow as well, but it is heavy and a beast. My little Trailhawk has ground clearance, good MPGs, and a great ride. A used one can be had for less that $20K. Follows my DP the best of anything I have towed. Used Toyotas and Wranglers suffer from the same thing; people want them (for whatever reason) and therefore drive the price up. Jeep makes its vehicles toad ready (ones with the proper transfer case), and even supports the consumer with fixes and questions. I hear a lot of things about government intervention, but if you want to see who receives subsidies, look no further than Toyota. WW Glad to hear the Cherokee works well, probably picking up a 2018 Limited or 2017 Overland tomorrow. Both have select drive-2 (I think its called). With the Neutral button.... I really like the Trail Hawk too.Re: Long Bed vs. Short Bed for Towing 5th Wheel??? cummins2014 wrote: jorn wrote: Do not fall for the running myth that you *need* a slider hitch in a short bet; that’s anachronistic these days. Many news 5th wheels are designed to be pulled by short bed trucks. I can go to 90º fine with my combo. We went straight to the Ram MegaCab because that cab! :) I too have the Megacab, great towing truck, and the ride is just great. And yes, I went from a manual slider to the Andersen fixed hitch, never needed to use the slider. Andersen is the only way to go if a slider hitch is not needed. I would much rather have the Mega cab than the long bed but was also told that I would need a slider if I went that route. Sounds like that is not correct... Glad to hear!!!!!!! Is that the Andersen ultimate?Re: 2010-2012 Ram question transferred wrote: Me Again wrote: 3500 SRW with Aisin. Chris +1. Never had a 5th wheel and Interested in a Grand Design or Montana High Country, 41' or so, both are 15,000# plus. Any advice, pro or con on a manual trans,vs regular automatic or Aisin???
