We are pleased with the unit and the service people seem to be getting on the owners forum. GD is in the process of making travel trailers, should be out this fall I believe.Re: Columbus Auto Leveling SystemThanks Wildcat for the info. I will see the unit on Saturday for the first time. It is a Columbus we are going to purchase but it sounds like it will be with the electric leveling system. By the way, who do you sell for? I know, I know, it is probably against the rules to answer that, pm me if you want.Auto Level & Tripod?Do you still use a tripod if you have the hydraulic auto level on your camper?Re: Columbus Auto Leveling SystemI called the dealer today and they said that it was the hydraulic system. From what I have read here I will probably to ahead and get that option. Thanks for all of the advise.Re: Columbus Auto Leveling SystemI took a look at the quote again and it says 6 point leveling system so I will assume it is the hydraulic. We are going to look at the unit this Saturday. It is an extra 2k for the leveling system. The have the identical unit without the system so at least I have a choice.Columbus Auto Leveling SystemWe are close to buying a new Columbus 320RS and I was wondering if someone could tell me if the auto level system is hydraulic or electric. I am considering this option but I am curious which system the factory is using. Thanks in advance.Re: Slide Canopy CoversWe currently have the same camper as the OP except it is a Laredo 27RL that does not have the topper on our slide out. We camp in mostly wooded areas from early April through Thanksgiving and the stuff that ends up on top of the slide I would not want to drag through my seals. I carry a ladder with and I brush it off every trip. I am getting up there a little in age and have a knee that is bad so I could be setting myself up for something bad if I am not careful. We are currently looking at a three slide camper and all three will have toppers on them. I will live with a little noise rather than a trip to the ER. Just my thoughts.Re: 5th wheel hitch hanging from king pinShould not be a problem at all, I do it whenever there is no one around to help me lift mine out. I leave it on the camper for winter storage also as I use my truck to haul "stuff" in the winter and do not have to worry about it sitting around in the garage. The hardest part is getting to align up with the holes when putting it back in but it is not that bad.Re: Electric Awning IssueI would take a look a other units on their lot and compare. If all the others are put in the slot like yours then they have it right. If all of the others are the way yours used to be I would point out that the factory must not know what they are doing and the dealer should fix every unit on their lot. I will bet they will repair yours to the original specs as there should be two slots.Re: 2005 Coachmen Concord 275DS showerJust replaced our shower door in our Laredo with one of these. I looked at getting the replacement panels for the OEM and it was well over $300. This door works well and was easy to install. If you have a Winnebago class C dealer nearby they are factory installed in those units. Installation was easy and it works great. Hope this helps. www.newlinebathroom.com/
