What about the wires leading INTO the outlet? Do you get power from where those wires come in? Could be just a bad light fixture. And I do have a wiring diagram for 2005 and newer highwalls. Schematic just has a pair of wires labeled "To Ceiling Lights". It has never been helpful at all. There isn't a bulb outlet there, it's just a 12v plug (it's not a cigarette lighter outlet, it's like a mono headphone jack) to plug in the portable light/fan combo over the dinette. I pulled down the receptacle and checked for power at the back of the fixture. There are 4 wires that run to the roof, one set up the front right post (black and white) and one set on the bathroom/dinette side running up the back left post by the bathroom (black/red and black/blue). The black and white wires in the front right corner look to control the general roof lighting. When I unplug it, the ceiling lights go out. It looks like the black/blue wire at the rear is for the switched bathroom light but I'm not sure about the black/red in this pair and if it's supposed to be hot or ground. Since the outlet I'm looking at is different, like the switched bathroom light ( ie it's not a light fixture, but a 12v outlet) I'm wondering if maybe it's supposed to be powered by the black/red wire. The wires at the outlet itself are black and white, so if the black/red wire is powering it ( or providing ground for that matter) it would need to switch over somewhere to a pure black wire. I haven't had a chance yet to do a continuity check on it. My thought right now is that both the wires in the rear/left post (black/red, black/blue) are supposed to be hot. The white wire running up the front right post could provide the ground for all the roof fixtures. The black/blue wire is pulled to a separate switch for the bathroom light. I'm betting the black/red wire here is supposed to power that 12v outlet and it's broken somewhere....Re: Wiring diagram for 07 Fleetwood Arcadia?Hi all. Haven't had much time to pull the pup out of the garage to troubleshoot but yes I used a test light at the outlet and there is not 12v there. There is not a switch for this particular outlet, apart from the same master switch that controls all the other lights as well. There are only 2 sets of wires that go up the posts to the roof, and I think I know which set this light works off of. I started tracing them back to the breaker/fuse panel last time I had the top up. I'm wondering if one set (black/red trace and black/white trace) is supposed to be 2 hot wires instead of 1 hot/one ground. One of these wires is the one that powers the switched shower light. ( that works fine). I'm thinking that the other wire is supposed to power the inop outlet,Re: Wiring diagram for 07 Fleetwood Arcadia?Ok checked the last light and like the others just a single pair (white black) coming out of the foam in the ceiling. No.evidence of other runs coming from it...smoke detector was the same.Re: Wiring diagram for 07 Fleetwood Arcadia? Thanks for.the reply, I removed 2 of the three and.it's.the same, single black and white wires...might as well pull the last one and look ...I'll post back.Re: Wiring diagram for 07 Fleetwood Arcadia? What I really need to know is where the 12v lights that are in the ceiling are tied together? They each seem to have only 1 pair of wires going to Them that disappear into the ceiling, but one master switch by the door can control them all. That switch only has one set of wires that go into the wall. I would think that all the light fixtures are tied together somewhere... But where?Wiring diagram for 07 Fleetwood Arcadia?Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for my 07 Fleetwood Arcadia? The 12V light/fan plug over the dinette seems to be inop. The others work fine. I want to find out where the wires from the dinette outlet go...Radio doesn't really turn off in 07 Fleetwood ArcadiaThe radio in my 07 Fleetwood Arcadia never really goes off, even when the trailer is folded up. I can turn the radio off using its on/off switch but the lights on the face are on as long the battery is connected so it's always drawing power. The lights and other DC electronics in the trailer don't work when the bed isn't extended (the master switch is there) but the radio and propane detector seem to always be on. Is there any way to turn the radio completely off? Seems as if I don't disconnect the battery it would be dead rather quickly.Re: Fleetwood arcadia power lift wiring help needed wing_zealot wrote: Don't you just love it when someone gives you some snarky answer that has nothing at all to do with the question at hand. As useless as a screen door in a submarine. It's all good. I appreciate all the responses and inputs!Re: Fleetwood arcadia power lift wiring help neededOk heard back from tHe place I bought tHe current limiter from (Midland RV). They advised that the unit is set up like a standard 12v device, so red is +. And black is negative. Hooking it up to the fleetwood then means that black from the trailer goes to red on the current limiter and white goes to black. I hooked it up and it seems to work. I'll post back if it inexplicitidly craps out....Re: Fleetwood arcadia power lift wiring help neededThanks for the replies. I agree that a multimeter is a good tool, and I have a few including several of the HF freebie ones. In this case though it won't help me. I know the polarity of my trailer wiring, black is positive and white is negative. This is contrary to most 12v systems but it's the way fleetwood decided to do it. The problem Im having is with the polarity expected at the accessory ( the current limiter) which is unpowered (until I connect it to the trailer, which is something I don't want to do ). It uses red and black like most 12v systems, so I don't know if they designed it to work with fleetwood ( black positive) or like any other 12v system ( black negative) I'm waiting on a response from the manufacturer. A current limiter is different than a fuse. While a fuse is meant to protect the circuit by blowing or opening the circuit when a specified amperage is exceeded, the current limiter is meant to stop the motor when it hits its limits. When an electric motor stalls, it draws more current. This box senses that current draw and stops the motor. So it prevents the operator from overdriving the top either up or down preventing damage to the lift mechanism. Thanks for responding!!
