Enjoy the red moon!back on the road againI finally found my next trailer. It was a long hunt this time. So anyway, I bought a 2010 r vision super sport 27bh. This is my first stick and tin trailer, but it looks like brand new so I'm hoping for the best. My last 2 fiberglass trailers has delamination problems. If anyone has experience with this brand and model I would be interested in any comments, good, bad or ugly. Thanks LenRe: Outdoors RV Creekside in Eastern US? Creekside vs NashI'm still shopping for another rv and I'll be looking at a tamarack trail 721fbs tomorrow(2/1/14)It is also an outdoor rv product, and an ultra lite.It is a 2010 model that has been discontinued. I'd be interested in any info on the tamarack line, good or bad.It is a pretty big step down from my last terry 280fqs, but half the weight and a good price.I'm just concerned about going with an ultra lite.Re: More new alum skinned campers than fiberglass smkettner wrote: Who makes aluminum frame and aluminum siding? Too many posts about fiberglass troubles for me and I am indifferent to the "smooth look". After 2005 all the komfort trailers were alumacage framed and some had aluminum siding. That is what a dealer told me? I saw one they had for sale. Nice but $$$.Re: "Log Cabin" TTThere are several for sale on the Portland Or. craigslist. One looks like its homemade for 10k and another add for custom made for 40k There is a "tiny house" motel community in downtown Portland. Keeping Portland wierd.:) That might be fun for a night. You can find the listings at the portland craigslist under rv and camp. Then search "tiny house"Re: Cupboard doors separatingI have to disagree with most of the advice here. I am a retired woodworker. If the original glue joint was glued with a pva glue( tightbond) the glue has already sealed the pores of the wood and useing most glues as suggested, would not bond properly. In my opinion, and I may be wrong, your best bet would be to reglue the joint useing an epoxy adhesive. Any squeeze out can be cleaned up, while still wet, with white vinegar.Epoxy will bond to most everything and is stronger then the wood. But so is pva if done properly.Be sure the temp is over 50* for the entire cure time. Warmer is always better with epoxy.I would also avoid getting any glue on the raised panels, they need to be able to expand and contract. So just epoxy and pipe clamps and you should be good to go.dutchman wall constructionI am considering buying a 2011 dutchman 265bhs. It has smooth fiberglass outside walls, but I couldn't find any info if it was aluminum framed or stick framed.I would prefer metal framing. any info would be appreciated. And if anyone has this model,is it a good one, or were there a bunch of problems. The current owner said the roof had to be replaced during warranty. Thanks for any replies LenRe: RV Parks around Vancouver, WABattleground lake SP is a nice park within 6 miles or so of Brush Prairie. I would rather stay there then several of the other places mentioned. And it will be pretty quiet in october.Re: Shingles down home wrote: Wife has Shingles. Cousin had them Nov and Dec an may still. Haven't talked with her. I've ran across mentions of others having shingles over a wide area the last several months. The Doctors talking with me yesterday about scheduling nerve surgery on arm and the subject came up. I have some spots on arms. I couldn't seperate any pains from it if I had it from the other. I had the Shingles shot last year or before. Wife and many others didn't get it because of cost. Maybe everyone had Chicken Pox about the same interval of time and now Shingles is erupting? Maybe it is the Chicken Pox virus in the air? As far as I know we haven't been around anyone we knew had either. Get the shot. It's somewhere higher than 250.00 I hear. If you're a Vet and VA health benefits you can get it free I think. I did. That pain in your shoulder or anywhere and any kind of spot or and eruptions; get it looked at. It may be why I had to just lay around for a month with a cold. The vaccine if free to Vets at the VA if you are over the age of 62.
