I have a 2019 Entegra Esteem 29V. I looked at both Jayco and Entegra as well as few others. There is little substantial difference between Jayco and the Entegra. With the Entegra you get full body paint and some interior upgrades. When I bought mine there was little price difference when you subtract what the Jayco didn't offer. I have had mine for 6 months now and while there have been a few minor issues overall I love my Entegra. The J ride platform on either are great upgrades to the E450 chassis and they are the few Class C RVs rated to tow 7500#. PM me if you have questions. This will be my next project in my 2019 Entegra Esteem 29V. The sound system is very poor. The subwoofer sounds like a kid beating on a tin drum. The front speakers are awful and the rears aren't much better. The head unit is hard to use, difficult to program and the GPS (tom tom) is almost useless. There is no Sirius capability. The only good thing is the Apple Play but the sound is just bad. I'm thinking I'll upgrade the speakers. Add some tweeters that are missing. Then I'll replace the woeful subwoofer. Adding an amplifier would help a lot. Then I'll consider replacing the head unit with a better quality unit. The documentation that came with the RV was woefully inadequate. I have no idea of what Sony unit I have as that information is printed on the underside of the head unit. My dealer is useless to help.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Leveling Jacks pro & con
My 27' Winnibago Aspect didn't have levelers. I used ramps which worked OK. My new Entegra Esteem is at 32.5' It came with levelers and I love them. Drive in, push a button, presto, level. My wife of 44 years passed last November after almost 3 years of cancer induced quadriplegia. She knew she was dying and we had several conversations about what I thought my life would be after she was gone. I told her I was going to full time after selling the house. She enjoyed RVing until she couldn't anymore but was not crazy about full timing. She agreed that would be good for me. She also gave me her blessing to find someone else after waiting a proper period. I am now mostly timing after selling the house and living in a small apartment. The first few times it seemed like a piece was missing but the more I got out and did things during my trips, the better it felt. I adopted a small dog who is the perfect travel companion. I haven't looked for "someone else" yet but I will be looking soon. I am just starting out on this new life journey and while I am well aware of how short life is, I plan to take my time and make sure I am making decisions that are in concert with what I see as my future. When I started looking I wanted to stay under 30 feet. I wound up buying an Entegra Esteem 29V. Tape measure and manufacturer says it is 32.5' bumper to bumper. Dealer told me it was 30' and the name implies it is 29'. Whatever size I notice no complications over the 27' Aspect we had before. The extra floor space is very nice.290Views0likes0Comments
