A sad but happy day.
A sad day because our much loved TT left the driveway behind another family's truck. It has been on our mind to sell it for a couple of years, haven't been using it much and hoped to find someone who would appreciate it. We have known the young lady since she was small now she is a well rounded adult with a good husband. Hoping they have as many good memories as we did. So this means I won't be spending much time on the forums but want to pass on my best wishes to families. Checking on Pa State Park site and found out that the park we were to go to will be open starting May 22. Called to see what happened to our site. Was told that since reservation was to start on May 21 it was all canceled. First message we got stated that just the first day was canceled. Tried to rebook the site but it is not available. We received an email yesterday that our payment for our site in a Pa State Park has been refunded. So I guess we won't be camping over the Memorial Day weekend. Just received an email yesterday about our May camping trip to a Pa State Park. Were to go in on 21 May leaving on the 25th. Canceled our arrival date of 21 May not sure about the rest of the stay. Glad for you.Here in Pa I don't believe any private campgrounds are open for transient campers. Maybe if you have a permanent site you can still go.Some really nice places in Lancaster county but that county seems to have been hit hard in terms of the south central mid-state area. We have a trip planned to a Pa State Park for Memorial Day Weekend. The way things are now in Pa I'm beginning to wonder if State Parks with Campgrounds will be open for camping. You can use trails and go fishing if applicable but I don't think restrooms are open. You can't buy a car or get a haircut. Much less see lawyer or get insurance. Saw our model at an RV show didn't buy but got same if not better deal when we ordered a month later. So it can be a crapshot as to what is best. Story from a friend who sells RVs. A salesman wasn't getting any interest on a unit raised price crossed it out put original price as " show price" and sold eight in one day. So be careful.358Views0likes0Comments
