Driving the toad down to Soldotna tomorrow to see about getting our rig fixed. No Sweatt auto said it was a rear axle seal and did not want to fix it. They suggested Soldotna or Anchorage. CATraveler: Just looked at your blog. Absolutely wonderful!!! Wish we had seen it before we headed up BC and Yukon. Pat and George We will head to Homer and be there by 16/17 July. Hope you get on the road by then. We also met up with CA Traveler. This has been the most Roll call folks we have linked up with on the trip from Maryland.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2013We reached North Pole, AK this afternoon. We have seen two "Roll Call" posting since leaving home, Maryland. We are about to turn-over 6,000 miles on this trip. Where are these folks? I guess they are in front of us. DirtsailorOn the road againWe finally got it together and finished all the modification and tweaking on the truck camper. We left the house around 11:30 on Thursday and finished up at the Triadelphia area with a stop in Cabela's, not a bad ending to the day. Next scheduled stop is in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Be safe out there.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2013We're on are way home right now (currently down in the FAMCAMP Patrick AFB, FL / Cocoa Beach, FL). After arriving home we have six weeks of turn around time to get ready for the great Alaska adventure. The plan is to depart from Maryland by 15 May. It will be a blast to meet and greet each and everyone along the trail. I'm thinking of post laminated roll call signs on all four sides of the truck campers.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2013I would like to wish all my new friends on "Roll Call Alaska 2013" A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2013Janet, Thank You PaulRe: Roll Call Alaska 2013Butch50, Liked you comment, "I just verfied that when I looked in the mirror this morning". Good humor. Hope to see you on the trail.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2013Good - Low cost, No distribution problem, and easy. Now just get 31 folks to agree to it by doing it. I'm in. PFRe: Roll Call Alaska 2013"Hang a Flag for Recognition" idea. Do you have any Flag in Mind? Then where does the flag actually fly? Front of Vehicle? Read of Vehicle? If two members of RV.net are driving towards each other they may not see the flad because it is streaming straight back, kind of out of sight. A flag could be seen from the side easily. How about quality bumper stickers front and back. with a "Roll Call' kind of a sound off messsage. Perhaps with a US Flag with "Roll Call". With 31 participants one hundred bumper stickers should do the trick. FYI-Bumper stickers these days are printed on a plastic film that can be removed in one or two pieces. Then you (we) are faced with a distribution problem. Paul Foster
