Thanks for the feedback!Re: Fridge & Freezer Not CoolingIt is a Dometic Double Door. I am to sure of the exact model. JohnFridge & Freezer Not CoolingRecently we run into the issue with our fridge and freezer not cooling. We currently live in our fifth wheel and have experienced very low outdoor temperatures over the past week, -35C lows. The fridge has been working fine all winter and just before crapping out, it was overcooling the fridge section and freezing food. Yesterday I tried to troubleshoot it and found the following. 1. LP Mode: Sustained flame but coils not heating up. 2. AC Mode: Heating element warm but coils not heating up. I am thinking what might have happened, is that the low temperature caused the ammonia/water mixer to thicken to the point the heater is not able to start the refrigeration cycle. Any idea's what the issue could be? My pregnant wife is very keen for me to sort this out.Re: 12V Electric Issues - Inverter?Good news to report. I replaced the old Converter with a PowerMax PM4 100A Converter and have no issues since! Thanks everyone for all the feedback.Re: Well, Here we goTrailer life is great! My wife, myself and our 2 year old son have been living in our fifth wheel for 7 months (even at -25C). Enjoy the experience! There are plenty of challenge, but that keeps things interesting.Re: 12V Electric Issues - Inverter? Thanks for all the feedback on this!! I checked last night and the battery terminals had bad corrosion. I am going to clean them up and get the battery charged. Hopefully, this is contributing to the problem and I don't need a new converter.Re: 12V Electric Issues - Inverter? The trailer is permanently parked and connected to shore power so we really don't have a need for the battery.Re: 12V Electric Issues - Inverter? Thanks for the reply Lyle! I will pull off the battery tonight and charge it. Any recommendations for a "good" converter?Re: 12V Electric Issues - Inverter?I am hooked up to shore power, that is why I was thinking it was the converter. I know the battery isn't holding much of a charge either. What is the best way to troubleshoot each one?
