would need to do a wet/dry compression test, where you would squirt some oil into the low cylinder and perform the test again. If the compression comes back up, it is usually and indication that the rings are not sealing.
I agree it is likely a fuse. Perhaps you inadvertently pinched a wire. As the lights are not factory installed, they likely used an inline fuse somewhere. Try to follow the wires or look near the switch. Also make sure the lights are grounded properl...
Mine did that once. I pulled the fridge out, turned it upside down and shook the sh!t out of it. I turned it end for end several times over the next couple hours to mix everything back up and reinstalled it. It worked great for years after that.
