Compare the measurement to both to be sure.Re: Water Heater Anode? The guy in this video does not know what he is talking about. Atwood does not recommend an anode rod if you double check with the manufacturer. They recommend a plastic plug instead of a steel or brass plug as the aluminum is not compatible with them. You only use an anode rod in a Suburban water heater with a steel tank that is glass lined.Re: Leave slide out? Some they do,some they dont, and some they just dont care. That;s probably a short summary of the answers you will get... Actually, I always leave mine out, but it's because it's parked at my house and I go in and out fairly frequent. If I were leaving it elsewhere, I would leave them in.Re: insurance and roof leaksIt's all over the place with insurance companies. One of my RV friends had a leak that totally destroyed his rear wall and when I climbed up to look around it was clearly evident that the sealant was old and the roof itself was soggy near the edge. I told him that his insurance would most likely decline. He filed anyway and they totalled his RV and paid him the max value for his RV. I told him he must have been living right. Another friend had some water intrusion around his slide floor and his roof had been recently replaced. I was almost certain his insurance would cover as they knew his roof was only a year old, but they declined his claim stating he failed to maintain the sealant around the trim. The repair place that he took it to said sorry, we tried, but no luck with the insurance. So now he plans to sell at a huge loss because he's disgusted. So, who knows anymore, it's always worth a try.Re: Propane tank integrity testThe propane tanks in motorhomes are probably at least 1/4 inch thick steel, compared to a thin steel propane tank for travel trailers and 5th wheels. I would suppose that's why the portable tanks require recertification with age.Re: Replacing drum brakes ???Etrailer.com has everything you need. It's best and easiest to change the entire brake assembly.Re: Hot water tank not working on 110 VACI had this problem before and I traced it to the outside off on switch that Old Biscuit referenced on the suburban units. It was stuck in the on position however it had melted the connections and no longer sent the voltage thru to the thermostat and on to the element. Just another area of common failure to check.Re: Eternabond vs DicorIt's not a good idea to use Eternabond around skylights or vents where it's really a pain to remove compared to dicor. It's easy to remove dicor with a heat gun and a plastic putty knife.Re: Popping sounds from WinnebagoIt's a common issue with the Lippert Jacks. Some seem worse than others and as far as I know there has yet to be a satisfactory fix other than the stiction fluid. There are several brand options for the fluid, maybe a different brand might work better. Some report that they notice the problem more with temperature changes.Re: Hot Water Heater IssueIt may help to troubleshoot your issue if you state whether you were on gas, or electric, and the brand of the water heater.
