We have not used the trailer yet, bought it at the end of October and the dealer has stored it for the winter. We have booked some camp sites in Ontario Canada starting in May and several sites say the electrical box could be up to 30 ft? Ontario Provincial Parks have notorious long distances to the pedestle. I was just looking at sites in Arrowhead that are reporting 30-40meters. I carry 3 25ft cords so good for 100ft. Have not had a problem yet, but i have used all of it on some occasions.Re: Any year long campgrounds near Hamilton ontario?Valens conservation area is open 11 months, closed during december. But being government run they may be closed due to covidRe: Yellow powder in fresh water tank vent tube All I could afford wrote: I’ve owned my 1999 trailer for 8 years now. I start every spring with a flush out of the pink antifreeze in the plumbing, followed by a sanitation of the fresh tank and pipes with a quart of bleach mixed into the full 30 gallon tank. Last week when I went to service the system, I noticed my half inch diameter clear vent tube was clogged with dry yellow powder for the first 2 inches coming from the tank. I removed the hose and tapped the powder into a white coffee mug before washing out the tube and reinstalling. Could this be from filling up the tank in mountain areas with high mineral well water? Should I be concerned? I’m having trouble trying to attach a photo today I'm interested in the residue too. I find it in my fresh water tank drain, and also the aerators of the faucets. It almost looks like the spray foam that is degrading. But I don't know how any spray foam would have made it into the tank.Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky MountainsI'm thinking of taking the family to the Smokie Mountains for 2 weeks next summer. I'm thinking of the Gatlinburg area, but am open for more suggestions. We want to see the sights, do some hiking, catch some attractions and eat out a few times. Please give me some suggestions. We'd love being in the National Park, but for a 10 day stint, I think we would want hook-ups.Re: Which models have factory dog or wolf logo on camper?Coachman Freedom Express has a dalmationRe: another solar option SoundGuy wrote: Jebby14 wrote: Any tips for mounting permanently should i keep them? Since you're here in S Ontario as am I you no doubt camp in Ontario provincial parts which for the most part are well treed, meaning lots of campsite shade. JMO but I'd set this panel up to be used as a portable so you can easily move it around your campsite as the sun moves across different parts of your campsite. Mount it on the trailer roof and over the course of a day you're sure to get much more shade that sun. I installed the NOMA version sold at Canadian Tire and at the non-electric sites at Driftwood PP I was getting 5.5 amps for about 2 hours, rest of the day 0.3-0.5 amps. Not enough to charge the battery so I was running the gennie for about 90 minutes each day charging with a stand alone smart battery charger that was putting out 25 amps at 14.6 volts. I installed the charge controller above the fridge so a short run to the panel, then 20ft of 12 gauge solar panel wire clipped to the battery terminals.Re: De-Winterizethis is what I do. 1. Fill the fresh water tank and start the pump 2. Open the tap furthest from the pump, both hot and cold and flush till I see water, 3. continue flushing at taps. 4. open the low point drains and flush. 5. then connect to city water and do the same 6. Flush the hot water bypass and flush through the hot water tank with the drain out 7. Now to sanitize. 8. Fill fresh water and add bleach 9. Fill hot water tank 10. Flush till I smell bleach at every faucet. 11.. Let sit over night, then drain water tank, refil, and start flushing all over again. 12.. All above is done with the grey water tank valve open.Re: Spare tire mount on bumper, Y or N? Tyler0215 wrote: It's not a bumper, it's a hose holder. We have a Freedom Express with the spare under the tongue. Extremely easy to use, we had a flat last summer. Just uses your crank for your stabilizers. Will note that you need to keep tension on the cable when winding the tire back up, otherwise you'll get the cable jammed up in the winch. Learned that the hard way. But I think this is a pretty good system. Plus it adds some weight to the tongue.Re: Mounting solarI was researching this topic yesterday as I just bought our 1st 100W panel. I watched a youtube video from a guy suggesting to use well nuts. Looks like a fantastic way to do it.Re: ON to PEI - Through the US or...?We did that trip a few years ago. Went through the states on the way out, stopping in New Brunswick at the Bay of Fundy National Park. On the way home stayed pretty much in Canada with a 2 day stop in Quebec City. Great trip
