With practice and patience, you will soon catch on. And lots of both! :BRe: AC/Furnace problemBeen there, done that!Re: How fast do you tow? avvidclif1 wrote: My motto is "I'll be there when I get there, wherever there is" Best motto I've seen!Re: Going Through Atlanta v10superduty wrote: Bird Freak wrote: I will never understand why some folks are so afraid of Atlanta. I guess its perception, why folks are so wound up over going through Atlanta? I've done it about 12 times now counting N and S. Only took that I185 once and that was just stupid on my part. However I will say, we also have to go through Nashville each trip and I think its worse than Atlanta.. :W I live right outside of Nashville and avoid driving through town at all costs (if I can). Just remember: 1. Turn signals become inoperable at the TN. state line. 2. Directional signs (Lane ends, Exit only, etc.) are there for looks (since nobody reads them). 3. I-65 is under perpetual construction.Re: Break away safety cord rhagfo wrote: MainerBob wrote: We had an occurence last summer where the cord got pulled by something in the bed by accident. By the time we realized what had happened we needed not only a new switch but all new brakes x4 and replacement of some fried wiring. Wow, I had the same thing happen backing into a space, uphill blind side! Thought I had hit something BIG! It only took the second time out of the cab to see the pin laying on the floor of the bed. I know trailer isn't going far when that pin is pulled!!! Glad to know I'm not the only one that's happened to. Cost me big bucks to get it fixed.Re: Break away switch cable Oaklevel wrote: Hook mine onto the aft hitch rails at the bed. X2 or 3Re: Mop & Glow On Roof B.O. I had a park trailer for 10 years. It sat outside year around in the rain and snow. Never washed it once. The rain and snow did that for me. Touched up the caulk as needed and stayed off of it. Never a problem. Nobody ever cared if it was clean or dirty...I kept the outside of the trailer clean and waxed and it looked as good as new when we sold it...I'm doing the same with my current fiver. B.O. I like the way you think. Keeping the sides clean and waxed is enough work!Re: Getting peoples attention to pull over?If you are on the interstate, every state has signs posted for the number for their highway patrol. In TN it's *THP on your cell phone. This would be the number I would call instead of 911.Re: Pin Box Bolts torqueSeems I misspoke about my pinbox bolt torque. They do torque to 110 ft. lbs. That is why I have the manual in my 5er and not my head.Re: Pin Box Bolts torqueMine torque to 75 ft. lbs. YMMV. Best to check the manual.
