You can mount them to cabinet doors, using an articulating arm, lots and lots of possibilities. In our fifth wheel, we mounted a ceiling flip-up mount in our underbelly that worked great with a 32" TV.Re: Outside Shower Mods/Upgrades silverbullet555 wrote: Merrykalia wrote: We have not had a truck camper, but when we are at the beach, we use the outside shower on our TT and now our fifth wheel. A hula hoop, shower rings, 2 shower curtains (to give some enter/exit room) and a teak bath mat to stand on are all you need and can be purchased at the Dollar store for....$1 except for the teak bath mat. If you don't have the teak bathmat, make a quick easy one using left-over wood or pallet wood, just something for water to run thru and to keep your feet from being in the mud. We installed a Command hook or two on the outside of the camper to hang our towel and other needed items. We will use the cheap hose and nozzle that came on the camper until it breaks, then upgrade to a newer better one. We hook the hula hoop up to 2 ropes and run across the top of the camper and secure to hold it up at the correct height for whomever is using it. It's not a permanent solution, but it's pretty durn easy and cheap to fix up. It keeps the sand and stuff out of my holding tanks, mykids think it's a hoot to take a shower outside. Don't forget to get a shower curtain that you can't see through!:o I will shower naked, but have a bath robe hanging off the Command to slip on so I don't have to dry off inside the hula hoop, which can be confining. That's a great idea. Any pics? I'm sorry I don't. If you have specific questions, send me a PM. I've read through my reply a couple of times and I think that was all we did to it. The rope that we ran across the camper, we used another command hook to secure it. I left about a foot of room between the ground and the bottom of the shower curtain. Also, if you have an old shower curtain that has the magnets or weights in the bottom, you won't have a sudden "uncovering" if the wind blows!!Re: Harrisonburg Va to Elkins WVI go to Google maps and then go to "street view" and actually look at the roadways. I don't know much about that area other than it has mountains. You are in Luray, so you probably know all about driving on mountain roads.Re: advice for a newbieI agree with Larry Cad. We started with a small popup and DH and I took it to a school parking lot. We had 4 cones that i borrowed from our local police department. We set them up, drove around them, between them, etc. going forward. THEN, we started backing into place. We laughed, we yelled, we giggled, but we finally got it. It was not a quick process. We finally settled on me backing the camper and DH out spotting for me. It has worked for over 30 years with us backing in that way. Both of us can do it, but I am a bit more proficient. We have had 6 different campers in that length of time from the popup, hybrid, bunkhouse TT, 2 5ers and now with have a diesel pusher.Re: For the Kids: Hobo Pouches, Hobo Packs, Foil Packet DinnersThis is our "go-to" for large gatherings. We fix all the meat and veggies, have sauces and other goodies and we tear the foil for the packets prior to. We set everything out and everyone fixes their own, including kids. My kids have been doing this since they were 3 or 4. They know they must have veggies and a bit of protein, otherwise, the choices were theirs.Re: Tips/Tricks/info on Full-time RV'ing For BeginnersDo a GOOGLE search of full-time RVing and you will find a plethora of websites and blogs about just that. You will get much better information there than on here when very few are full-time RVers and you will find lots of TROLLS who just start arguments and have no idea what they are talking about. I know that a family who have full-timed for 3-4 years have a blog called LEARN TO RV. He works in tech and does that on the road.Re: Delaware and Maryland camping helpIf you are in Fenwick Beach, you are about 30 minutes north of Ocean City, MD. You can experience EVERYTHING there. You will also be about an hour and a half north of Assateague and Chincoteague.Re: Star LinkThis school referenced above is in the Appalachian Mountains in Wise County Virginia. If you look at a map, we are in the little triangle on the western end of Virginia. We are actually classified as living in the "south", below the Mason Dixon line. If you want to look up the school system, google Wise County Virginia schools.Re: Star LinkAs I stated above, a local school system is testing for Starlink and this is from the tech director. "We have installed the service in 45 homes to serve students in Wise County. I will say with confidence that if you have been relying on HughesNet then you will be blown away. SpaceX continues to launch satellites to make it even better and to support more connections, but our families have seen download speeds of 60mbps to 150 Mbps. The satellite receiver will face to the Northern sky, opposite of your current dish, and the installation app helps you place it to avoid obstructions that could interfere with service. While there are moments of disconnect (not ideal for gaming), more satellites are being launched monthly to reduce that. Hope this helps. Note: it was not used to replace existing service providers as we targeted families without availability to broadband. "Re: TT Floorplan with recliners on backI do have a comment on that floorplan, at least the 27RLLS. It might matter to you or it might not. I always thought that would be a great floorplan, but then I sat down at the seat closest to the door and couldn't see around the sink countertop. There was a coffee cup sitting there that blocked the tv.
