Park the RV in the front yard as a conversation piece and find a new hobby. Preferably a hobby that doesn't require you to be proficient in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and auto mechanics. Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: Yet another "Do I have enough truck?" youwillforget wrote: 1. I am looking at Craigslist and find a 26' 5er in my price range. I call, the lady is upfront and honest says it had a little water damage when they bought it. 2. So do I have enough truck for this trailer? 1. IMHO: Any RV with water damage not repaired by a reputable repair shop with documentation, pic's, and warranty towards the repair, I'd leave that sucker flat. There's about a hundred thousand other RV's out there without water damage for you to pick from. 2. Yes Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: American flags? Good grief Tank!! CW isn't the only place to buy American flags. Do what I do, go elsewhere to buy made in America American flags. Problem solved! Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: Thinking about ordering a new truck tomorrow jayco302fk wrote: My last 3 trucks were diesel and I will not pay the price of the upgrade anymore. Thanks for any input. Don't know anything about the truck. But, truck friends don't let truck friends tow with gassers. Bet you'll be willing to pay the price after a year or so of towing with yer foot through the floor with that new gasser. Course the gas engine noise screaming at 5000 RPM's will keep yer DW from asking to stop to pee quite as often.:B Course with a gasser you'll be stopping more often anyway. Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: Tow question Kevin Todd wrote: I knew I was overloaded. I have driven this truck and knew I would be ok.. Then why ask the question?:R You're wanting this conversation...ah...why??? Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: Tow question Kevin Todd wrote: How do you think my old ram will do? Well, the Ram (very nice pre-emission truck, great engine & OK tranny) will do fine but the rear axle and suspension hauling a beast like that around on it's back???...who knows. IMHO, it'll be a huge tail wagging a small dog!!!:B But, you had the 3/4 ton truck before buying the 1 ton requirement 5'er so you already knew your trucks weight and towing limitations are exceeded. Overloading yer truck wasn't an issue for ya so ya got what ya got!...nice 5'er...hang on and enjoy!!! Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: DRV donn0128 wrote: As you probably already know they sold out to Thor earlier this year. Stories and rumors will continue to circulate, but without facts and your post lacks that all your saying is several lines of nothing. PM me for the facts. I'm not posting them on the forum and create a major fuss ball. A lot of good folks own DRV products and they're probably most happy with them. I don't want to shovel on the next guy's rig. As you read, what I said is if you're contemplating a DRV product, do your homework. And "no". We didn't realize DRV "sold out" to Thor. Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: DRV jmtandem wrote: We'll be draggin around our little 30' 2004 "Presidential" for another 11+ years thank you very much. You are bored with it and still plan to keep it another 11 years??? Why not look at other brands like Arctic Fox as they have a good reputation for quality, reasonable cost, a strong frame and well insulated? Well we're not bored with it any more!!! As far as Artic Fox goes, we've already got that in what we have. Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)Re: An Interesting PrevostOh yea. We could live in that!!!:B Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)DRVWe've been seriously contemplating over the past couple of years the purchase of a new 2016 Mobile Suites DRV 5'er. Mostly because we're a bit bored with what we have. We have 3 close camping couples, all of whom have owned multiple DRV 5'ers. Well we've heard our latest and probably not the last DRV horror story regarding DRV workmanship from the owners involved. Our little 30' 5'er is 11 1/2 years old. We get compliments on her all the time, she's never let us down, and she's been the perfect 5'er for us. We shopped and researched 2 full years before we ordered her and took delivery of her new in January, 2004. Now after the latest DRV factory and dealer service horror story we just heard from those directly involved, we won't be buying any DRV 5'er. We'll be draggin around our little 30' 2004 "Presidential" for another 11+ years thank you very much. We've already got enough retail customer no-service drama going on around us today without spending $100K on some extra. We always thought DRV was a class act and a major step up from what we have!!! Mercy.:R If yer seriously considering the purchase of a DRV product, do your homework before plunking down $100K for a new one. You may very well be surprised. We were. Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)
