Posted some photos about mid-way down on the below link: https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/27746563/print/true.cfmRe: Charter Fishing in Homer or ValdezJust left Homer today. Went out twice with Big Bear Charters. Captain Ethan. Very personable and accommodating. Enjoyed both trips, halibut & salmon combo and a halibut only. Current charter rules for halibut are 2 per day and one must be under 29". Boat is a 38' Tollycraft as I recall.Re: Roll Call Alaska 2015Don't know about the other CG's in Dawson City, but am currently at Bonanza Gold Motel & RV Park and there are plenty of empty spaces. Apparently, Gold Days was celebrated over the weekend where gold trade people came in to make deals. The ferry is operating and per the Info Center, the TOW & Border Crossing is projected to open May 21st.Re: unusual TCSpied this one in the UP of Michigan. Re: Fox Landing on an older Arctic Fox 990I recently purchased a 2011 AF1150 with the smaller bumper and wanted to add the Fox Landing without going to the new style bumper. First, I looked at using a 4" x 4' x 0.25" piece of stainless as a backer inside the bumper. My old style bumper has rivets that fasten the bottom of the bumper to the rear part and these interfered with a piece 4" wide. I also became concerned with the potential of the back of the bumper to droop down with the Landing attached and me standing on it. I ended up with a piece of 6" aluminum angle by 36" long (ordered from an on-line metal outfit). It's 1/2" thick. I bolted the Landing to the angle, then bolted the angle to the top of the bumper via the mid-step bolts. I also used three pieces of 36" x 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum to shim between the angle and the bottom, back edge of the bumper. These keep the Landing bolt heads from digging into the back face of the bumper and, it spreads out the load. The landing is not completely rigid but works OK with my 260#s! (Edit; angle is 6", not 8") Re: Thermostat wiring advice needed: digital for heat onlyMy AF has a basement circulating fan. Wouldn't be surprised that's what the black wire is for.
