We are not able to sit upright in our cabover (Lance 825).Re: New 2017 Lance 825We have a 2014, 825 & also are perplexed with their thinking that the sewage hose storage was adequate. :( I do have a question about replacing ur microwave with the convection/microwave. You still have to be plugged in to shore power or have a generator running to use it....correct?Re: Should the Air Conditioner Fan Cycle Off? bobbolotune wrote: I have a Coleman 9 Low Profile Ceiling Control air conditioner. Always when the air conditioner is turned on the fan runs constantly. The compressor cycles on and off, but the fan never turns off. It has been this way since the air conditioner was brand new. I asked someone in a campground if his air conditioning fan does this and he said no. He said that with his air conditioner the fan cycles off after the compressor cycles off, the same as a home air conditioner. So now I am wondering if my air conditioner might be broken. That the fan should cycle off. Otherwise this must be different for different air conditioners. He was in a big Class A and my air conditioner is for a truck camper. Maybe the design is different. The manual gives no hints about this question. I think this is a common air conditioner. So for others who have the same air conditioner, does your fan run constantly or does the fan cycle off? I have been concerned especially if running the air conditioner all night that the fan could burn out from constantly running for 8 or more hours straight. I have the same AC unit & mine operates just like yours..... I was wondering the same thing. :)Re: Tuweep Area - Grand Canyon National ParkWe like Crazy Jug Point which is not in the GCNP but in Kiabab NF. But it is at higher elevation.... 7400ft, so may not be suitable in the winter. We go in the summer.Re: Question for Dodge Ram 2500 ownersI have a '98 2500 4x4 & carry a Lance 825 about 2000# dry & 2500 wet. My truck does have the camper package & I have E rated tires, I've done nothing else to it & it handles the camper well....rides level, rocks a little side to side when I go over some uneven bumps (think curbs). I'm getting 12 mpg. I can't address the rear diff. size etc. because I'm clueless about that.Re: I've come over to the dark side ;) Mello Mike wrote: Congrats, on making the switch. I made the switch back in 2011, after owning a half-dozen travel trailers, and I haven't regretted it one bit. Just bought my 2nd truck camper, just waiting for it to be built. Yep Mike, I know, we emailed....."Crazy Jug Point pic"...I would have bought ur old TC had I known u were selling it.Re: I've come over to the dark side ;) Bedlam wrote: The dark side is when you run your batteries down and realize for the first time that you do not have isolation between tow vehicle and camper. LOL! sweet! :) Yes, "dark side" is a reference from Star Wars... & I thought I was in the "older" generation. ;) Truck is 24valve. We r having some problems down sizing with all the junk we had in the 5th wheel.... esp., the DW. We really enjoy getting away from everyone & even did that with our 5th wheel...but not easily. Our favorite place thus far is Crazy Jug Point on the north Rim of the Grand Canyon..... all by ourselves. :) Thx for the warm welcome folks.Re: I've come over to the dark side ;)Nothing against N. Dakota...just never made it there......yet. Missed Rhode Island as well. Oh, & Hawaii too. "Dark side" all depends on ur point of view ;) Didn't know about the truck camper rally, will check with the DW & see if it's doable for us....Thx!I've come over to the dark side ;)Sold the 5th wheel & just bought a new to me 2014 Lance 825. Taking it up Kolob Terrace Rd North of Zion NP for our first trip this coming weekend. Definitely a different feel than pulling the 5th wheel. (I don't post often but thought I'd say hello since I'm now lurking here instead of the 5th wheel forum. :) BrianRe: TR: Wolf Creek meets Calf CreekGreat area & great pics!! Next time u r in that area & want to splurge, stay at Kodachrome basin State Park just West of Bryce. There a beautiful little slot canyon call Willis Creek Slot Canyon that few visit but it's an easy hike & only about 4 miles down an easy passable dirt road with high clearance. Here r a few pics of Willis Creek. (If I did it right). Well, that didn't work.....it took me 5 tries! lol
