To the Pontiac naysayers, I own a 09 Vibe, no problem getting parts, go to any GM dealer and order or order online on the many GM dealers selling online. Any chassis related parts can be gotten at a Toyota dealer, they stock quite a bit as the platform is shared by a Corolla.Re: *UPDATE*Calling Duramax owners 1st trip with camper bad fuel mileageIf you weren't in tow/haul mode, that seems to affect mileage on my DMax, not to mention the tranny runs much hotter.Re: Who has been refilling 1 lb propane tanks?Years ago, dedicated camping stores (like Campmor in NJ) used to sell 1 lb propane bottles specifically made to be refilled. It has a small bleeder screw on the top in place of the Schrader type valve. I have a couple of them and still use them occasionally. I got a 4lb Worthington tank for my Baby Q one time when Camping World had them on sale. I can go all summer with one fill and much more convenient.Re: motor home will not startCould be the ignition switch also, just a thought.Re: Weight Police: Need Help!!! But if you ever get in an accident, the first thing the insurance company will do, is check to see if you were over ratings. When they find you were, your insurance is no good, and lawyers from the other vehicle in the accident, will come after you with a vengeance. After all, you negligently disregarded the trucks specifications. You are at fault. You can imagine where that will go. Mark I've always been curious if anyone stating the above actually has FIRST PERSON experience with that or is it another internet myth? Sad that you americans live life in fear of the all mighty lawyer. Another reason to move to Canada next year, maybe :) Not condoning the overloading or not overloaded conversation, just curious if ANYONE can step up and say that the above law suite actually happened to them.? I quote "We can bring in professionals to examine the wreckage for evidence that the motor home was dangerously overweight or unbalanced, that the tires or brakes were worn, that the hitch was not rated for the load, or that the RV lacked the proper lights, reflectors or mirrors." RV Accident Lawyer Unless their experts are on the scene at the time of the accident, there will never be any way to prove it was overweight. Like stated, in a bad enough accident, stuff and pieces are scattered all over the place. There would be no way to get a accurate weight when it was being towed.Re: Solar charger but still dead batteriesMy guess would be the solar controller is not working and batteries are not being charged. If you do disconnect batteries, make sure you disable the solar first.Re: Year of RV Doesn't Match Floorplan2002 model years come out in the spring of 2001. People get confused by the frame tag or information tag posted in the MH. You have to look at the actual title and see what year it was titled as.Re: Husky 16 k glider opinionsI have a Valley/Husky (same thing)and have had no problems with it. They are manual, no auto sliding of any kind. Some don't like the bar type that slides in front of the kingpin, but it sure is easy to see if you are properly hitched. I've got no complaints and you can remove it yourself since it is a two piece hitch.Re: hydraulic slides stop and startMore information would be helpful. Hydraulic or electric slides and what make and model of 5th wheel. The more info you can provide the better chance you have of someone being able to help you.Re: slide out fluid pigman1 wrote: Hydraulic fluid is hygroscopic. Means it absorbs water from the air. Some can absorb enough water that the steel parts in contact with it start to rust. Ergo, why you change it periodically. Not all hydraulic fluids are hydroscopic. True petroleum based oils are not. Even transmission fluid is not hydroscopic. The water comes from head space in the reservoir and temperature changes which causes condensation to form on cooler surfaces. If you get a cap for your reservoir that prevents moisture from entering, you won't have a water problem.
