My complaint was that I wanted somethng that was quiet and they were for about 10,000 miles then they started the AT rumble and whine. They were wearing even but just noisy. Have put on a set of Continental Terrain Contact load range E. They are extremely quiet and work great in rain, no snow yet but they are MS rated we shall see. My mileage went up about 2 miles per gallon with them on there. This is a 1/2 ton pickup just in case that matters to anyone.Re: 2020 Jayco AntennaI know what you are talking about, first off I asked the same question and basically got a bunch of not so helpful answers. Anyway the antenna is made by Steiner Enterprises in LaFayette Indiana. I sent an email to them trying to get oh you know maybe an owners manual or instructions for use or how it is connected. That is what I meant by less than helpful answers even on this forum the answers were less than stellar. I know what you mean sitting in our driveway we get like two channels and that is is. Am I impressed with it not so much. One person suggested prying it off and getting a real antenna. Well that is not going to happen when we get it out of storage I am going to try an antenna that is designed for inside use and hook it up to the cable outlet on trailer turn off booster and see what happens. If you come with any idea let me know. Hope that helps a bit. Like I said maybe the manufacturer now has some more assistance available.Re: Furrion rv air conditioner, anyone have one yet? Or Attwood? 72cougarxr7 wrote: I should say, I am planning on running my Dometic for at least another year or 2. It cools well, and in Northern NY, I can go without it much of the year. I just cant stand how loud the Dometic is. I agree with the comment about not being the first one to buy one, I dont buy 1st model year cars for that reason, and would definitely let these Furrion units have some real world testing for a couple years befire I felt comfortable buying one. It looks like it is only Attwood and Fuffion marketing their units as low noise, and they both use separate motors for the condenser and evaporator fans, which makes sense to me. Most of the Attwood reviews I find say the heat pump ones dont put out much heat and many were getting shipping damage. Im not interested in a heat pump, just ac. Anyone have an Attwood unit and have anything good or bad to say about it? I replaced a Coleman unit on a class C motorhome with the Atwood Air Command 15k unit with the heatpump it is standard on it. The unit was much quieter than the Coleman but as it is a heatpump they can only remove so much heat from the cold it is how they work all done with a valve not running it in reverse. Anyway if you set thermostat for a temp that is what it puts out, so can see where that seems like it lacks on heat that and they are good down to a certain temp. then they become very questionable. I also replaced a Dometic Brisk Air II with a 13.5 Atwood Air Command and it too lowered the noise level a bunch. Less amp draw due to the two motor design and such. The Atwood design is not that new it was designed in Australia and used there so it puts up with a bunch of rough conditions so I would say it is a good product.Re: Surge Guard Protector..???? DFord wrote: Advice I've received said to stay away from Surge Guard products. I know from experience, Camco's top of the line protector is a bad investment. When mine failed due to water intrusion (it was never immersed in water but did hang outside for a month when it rained several times - it claimed to be water resistant), I called asking where I could get it repaired and was told it was not repairable. $250 on a non-repairable item doesn't sit well with me - never again. The Progressive line of protectors has a lifetime warranty that users say they stand behind. https://www.progressiveindustries.net/our-products Just to clarify Southwire Surge Guard now have lifetime warranty and also detect load side issues, I know hard to believe an RV maybe miswired.Re: Add steps without mounting box?Our new trailer has the Step Above on it and like it up to a point. We usually have sites that allow pretty easy use of it, I can see where it could be a problem on a really steep site. As far as replacing the step with regular folding step I looked at our unit and thought I know why they did this as the folding step would end up in a wheel well which probably would not work. Looked at Torklift website and same issue would not fit.Re: Love my Mr Heater Hunting BuddyDo the same thing, use small Mr. Buddy to heat trailer and avoid using the propane and battery on trailer. National Parks we have visited have very limited power hookup. We have a solar charger so keeping battery charged is not a big issue if need to use furnace. Bonus we use the heater in the screen tent that we have three solid panels for and let me say this at Glacier it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the day and night even in the snow.Re: Where is #2 Black tank pull valve Crusader ?Have same issues with labels being crossed up, but hey they sent me replacements after I sent the dealer a picture, got a feeling it is a warranty and the dealer gets reimbursed for doing the job. Dealer sent them to me as I do not wish to take a 70 mile trip to dealer for it.Re: Flying J and Pilot moving toward B20 diesel? We have a diesel car and it says #2 diesel or B5 only. I believe that every time I have stopped at a station it says #2 or B5 specifically. That being said at least in the state we live in B5 to B20 just have to state it is between B5 and B20. Checked with state and it is true and a federal law so it can be anywhere between the points. By the way called company that has the guess ratio sign and they cannot tell you ratio depends on bobber of the day.Re: Jayco TV antenna drsteve wrote: Omnidirectional antennas are a joke, especially in fringe reception areas, which seems to include many campgrounds. RVs come with them because RV manufacturers are cheap. If you want good reception when camping in remote places get a Winegard Sensar IV. Omnidirectional code for Bad in all directionsRe: Jayco TV antenna Ron3rd wrote: You realize you need to scan for channels from the TV when you turn the antenna booster on, right? The TV will then grab as many stations as it can. On most antennas you turn the booster off for park cable I do know that and I know about booster, thing is this antenna has got to be the worst one I have had to date.
