I have also used clean bath towels to fill in any space that I feel need to be braced. I use bath towels in all overhead cabinets that contain anything breakable, should the doors fly open during travel. This cuts down on "rattles" while on the road, too.Re: GSRA - Let's get a balanced vote!!We lost the driver's side windshield wiper in a driving rain on I-4. Had to drive 2 miles to the nearest rest area before being able to get off the road. GSRA had us on the road again in less than 1 hour. Excellent service.Re: Found good over night stays on 95.We overnight at Inland Harbor RV Park, exit 49 at Darien, GA. Long pull-thru.. you don't have to unhook your toad. Easy off & on exit. Several gas stations nearby. Also, outlet mall at this exit, but we usually stop only to sleep and are on the road again at daylight.Re: Slammers Western Sky Ranch wrote: I'll slam what I want **SLAM!**, when I want **SLAM!**, as often as I want **SLAM!**, and there isn't a darn thing you're going to do about it. **SLAM!** **SLAM!** **CHIRP, CHIRP!** And what grade are you in, little boy??Re: Tips, tricks, do's and dont's ....Regarding items left in RV during storage, I store all clothing, bedding, towels, etc. in Rubbermaid containers or the equivalent, to prevent mice from using them to make a bed. The first time I had any experience with mice in an RV, I lost several such items. Now we do everything we can to mice-proof our motor home, but I try not to leave any temptations for them, just in case.Re: How do you hang your bath towels?I use a tension shower curtain rod and put it over the shower or from wall to wall if that is a better fit. In our previous motor home,I put it wall to wall up near the ceiling (but not too high for us to reach). We usually take our shower before bedtime so the towels are dry by morning and can be put in the hamper until I do laundry. There was one already installed in the shower of our present motor home. It is not a tension rod but put up with brackets and can be lifted out if need be for a tall person to use the shower. My DH is 6 ft. tall and it doesn't bother him.Re: Patio rug blowing away? When we go to FL for the winter, I go to Wal-Mart and purchase four plants such as geraniums or begonias and put them in pots to set on the corners of our patio rug to prevent it from blowing away. When we are ready to come home I put them in the shower and bring them home to plant in my planter boxes to enjoy all summer.Re: What is the most often... fla-gypsy wrote: Anything worth doing, is worth doing right! It doesn't take that much effort. A well written and correctly spelled comment is much easier to read and understand. Most browsers will do spell check for you but they have limitations. I realize some participants here say it is no big deal but putting some effort into writing correctly is important to me. If you cannot distinguish simple spelling mistakes and make corrections you must not really care much about what you are saying. Some will take issue with this point of view but like it or not being able to communicate well in written form has immense benefits in the real world. All of us will occasionally make an error we miss when writing and that is not the issue. Constantly abusing the language in written form will get you written off as uneducated, and not someone to take seriously. Just my opinion. X2Re: Joining a camping group. We have a Bounder motor home and belong to a couple of camping groups made up of folks who also own Bounders. We camp at least every other month with one group or the other. You might check for a group who own the same brand of camper that you do. That gives you something in common.Re: Water heater bypass not working? We had the same thing happen to us today as we tried to winterize our 2011 Bounder motor home. Never had a problem before but the bypass did not work! Almost all the antifreeze went to the hot water heater. We did get enough in the lines that "pink" flowed through everything except the washer, but it took 9 gallons of antifreeze! We normally use about 5 gallons which i think is a lot. I am very interested in others opinions as to what may be the problem.
