If you bought it new and ALWAYS made sure the refrigerator was level when on and parked then it's likely not plugged. If however you run the refrigerator with the RV significantly off level, then yes it's likely plugged. When you tested the burner unit and pipes how long had the refrigerator been on? If only a minute or two then I would say run it longer like 30 minutes and then check again. You would have to read your extended warranty carefully to see if the refrigerator is covered. If you are not comfortable with Camping World you can always see if a smaller dealer will look at it. But since warranty pays poorly don't be surprised if they won't touch it if they didn't sell it. You can always call a mobile RV repair person to come and inspect it. They will probably charge you for driving time and an your to look it over. And they probably won't touch fixing under warranty. But at least you'll know if it's fixable or needs to be replaced. Re: DIY Truck Bed Drawer Setup for F150.. Looks great. I do something similar in the back of my Suburban. Since I lifted my trailer years ago I built a large step to help people take that first step up into the trailer. When I'm not camping the step sits upside down in the back of the truck and keeps all my stuff organized. Re: My Experience with RV Must Have—Diesel Heaters I agree with both Grit and way2roll. while there are no links to anything it is written like if is AI generated. This is most likely a test to see how well their AI is working so they can make tweaks as necessary. Re: 2011 194SE ALJO owner's manual As way2roll says the factory manuals are notoriously unhelpful excerpt to tell you generically how to turn on the refrigerator and stove and flush the waste tanks. By and large the reports over the last 20 years from people who have tried is that there is no manual or schematic for house wiring or plumbing routes. But all is not lost. The best thing you can do is make a note of the make and model of everything in the trailer. Then go online and do some searches for the different appliance manuals. Also you can try Bryantrv.com for service manuals for many common RV appliances. Link Good luck and if you run into any issues post them and we might be able to help or offer suggestions. Re: Returning to the fold (hopefully) Welcome back Charlie. Renting is a great idea to see if you still are interested in the life style. I would do a quick google search for "RV for rent" and see what you find. Yes it could be a bit more than you expected with all the incidentals that might drive up the rental cost. But probably still a heck of a lot cheaper than buying just to experiment. Re: 2000 Monico Diplomat fridge won’t run on propane Look either inside the refrigerator doors or inside the outside access panel for a make and model of the refrigerator and post the information here. Do other propane fueled appliances work? My refrigerator will not work on Propane after the trailer sits all summer with the gas bottles turned off. To fix this I have to light and run the stove top for a few seconds to purge the air out of the propane lines. Turn the refrigerator off and find the outside refrigerator access panel and open it. Possibly by using a small screwdriver and turning the latches 90 degrees. From there what do you see? Have somebody inside the MH flip the refrigerator to gas while you stand outside at the access door. Does anything happen? Any clicking or just silence? Inspect any fuses to make sure they are still good. Do you see yellow powder in the outside compartment? This would indicate a refrigerant leak. Yes it's kind of unlikely because the refrigerator still cools on electric, but it's worth knowing the significance of the yellow powder. Re: Water Heater Leak on start up. I would say not normal but also not something I personally would worry too much about. If it's been a while since you've drained the tank you can letting it cool and then pull the drain plug. Let it drain then put the plug back in and run a hot faucet to fill it back up. The idea is to restore the air gap at the top of the tank. Re: Math isn't mathing Just a guess but I would assume the manufacturers have to account for things like the actual chassis strength in the ratings. Just because the axles are rated at 7,000 each doesn't mean that the frame is strong enough to be rated to more than 14,000. On top of that the manufacturer has to factor in a safety margin to keep people safe and more importantly reduce their liability risk. Re: Coming Back Home Welcome Lou, I'm glad you're back. I always have mixed emotions when a long time member decides to pursue other endeavors. On the one hand I'm glad they are doing something that they are more interested in. And at the same time it's almost feels like saying good bye to a good friend. So I for one am glad you're back. Re: Insight re: purchase The roof definitely looks dirty and moldy. But just dirt is not a real detractor. It's all the sealants around the penetrations that you need to look at. From what I can see there is no current cracking in the pictures so it is very possible that the owner was being honest about the roof being regularly inspected and repaired as needed. Of course the hardest thing to see is the roof sides where the roofing go behind some trim pieces.
