We aren't picky about sites. Having freedom to move on or stay longer is what is important to us. If you want particular cg, or certain sites, you may need to plan ahead more.Re: Georgetown, South CarolinaThank you for the info. So sad that they are still dealing with this flooding.Georgetown, South CarolinaIs Georgetown still dealing with the hurricane? Thinking about visiting... if not now, in the future. What campground would you recommend? Any suggestions on boat tours?Re: Campground suggestions near Asheville, NC.We loved Mama Gertie's. We prefer grassy sites on second level.Re: Newport aquarium and creation museumThey have a nice little museum at Big Bone and an easy to walk trail where you can see the bison. At the Creation Museum, there is a nice garden behind the museum.Walking the Purple People Bridge is fun.Re: Newport aquarium and creation museumPlenty of good places to eat next to the Aquarium. There is parking right at each location. If you want restaurant suggestions near the Aquarium, I can help as we only live five minutes from the Aquarium.Re: Newport aquarium and creation museumOne full day is needed at the Ark, especially if you like to read a lot of the information provided. I think you need two, maybe, three hours at the aquarium, depending on your interest. Need several hours at the Creation Museum. You might not see everything, but I think you will feel like you saw plenty. You also have to allow at least 30 minutes driving time between aquarium and Creation Museum.Re: Watkins Glen October 2019We have been there two times. Love the park and the campground. We walked the trail down, then took the shuttle back up. There is a fee for the shuttle. Several nice restaurants in the area. We really only spent the one day on the trail and then we moved on.Re: Balloon Fiesta in October in Albuquerque? azdryheat wrote: I'm curious, what does your post have to do with the balloon festival? I was wondering if the areas around the balloon festival will be so crowded that we will have to skip those areas due to too large of crowds since we don't have reservations. Sorry, that didn'make sense. In others wards, should we drive on thru on route 40 and skip all those areas and just head more west.Balloon Fiesta in October in Albuquerque?Due to medical issues, we have had to change the dates of our trip to the Grand Canyon. Will Amarillo, Santa Fe, and Grand Canyon be packed during last week of Sept. And first two weeks of October?
