Hi Lurker52 - I am working hard to get at least one location in the West as I know we have a lot of campers who prefer to stay close to the West Coast. We have fewer locations on the West Coast so I'll be my persuasive best! I know it's not economically feasible for folks to travel 3/4th of the way across America for a seasonal job. Hello Campers, To answer some questions, we are closing Coffeyville in February of 2015. Our Fernley location is moving into Reno and will have a very different mix of products that may not lend itself to using campers as they will be large products not usually having a peak season - that decision will be made after they have moved into the new building in March/April 2015. We currently have 2 open locations, Murfreesboro, TN and Campbellsville, KY. As the program manager for CamperForce I am currently in talks with several other Amazon Fulfillment Center locations to see if the CamperForce Program would be a fit for them. We are currently closed to any further applications for this year. I generally post new job requisitions for campers on January 15th or thereabouts so we precede the Quartzsite & Tampa RV Shows. Amazon still needs awesome campers to come to Kentucky to help us out during the holidays. We are close to being filled but we aren't there yet! We offer a paid campsite, utilities (except propane), $10.00 starting wage plus $1 per hour for every hour workedif you stay until we release you (usually Dec. 23rd). You will work in our distribution center, it IS physical work, you will either be walking for standing for 4 - 10 hour days per week, moving to mandatory overtime of 5 - 10 hour days usually around Black Friday as we begin the holiday ramp up in earnest at that point. We have a large group of campers who work at our KY center so you'll have a sense of community immediately! I have a lot of family who are still in the military - Those still serving are mostly in the Army - husband & his father were both Special Forces & my Dad was WW2 Army so I have military in my blood. to all: we do sometimes "convert" campers to a full time job if they are interested. It doesn't happen very often but it has so the answer is yes, we do hire full time if you are interested in a full time role. If it isn't at the fulfillment center where you are currently working, you may have to work as a temp first since Leathercrafter is correct that the way we hire most new hourly workers is to try them out through a temp service initially to see if the job is a fit.390Views0likes0Comments
