For instance, I drove from my home in New York down to relatives in Delaware, all highway not towing and I got 18 mpg hand calculated. I have a 2014 ram 2500 6.4 with 4.10 gears.Re: Ram 6.4 Gas MileageI get about the same as ib516, except I average about 10 mpg towing a 6500# trailer.Re: How hard does the 2014 Ram SB 2500 ride?I have a 2014 ram 2500 crew cab 6.4 hemi and the rear air suspension. I think it rides about the same as my previous 2011 ford expedition el. It's probably ten times better than the 09 ram 2500 that I had before the expedition.Re: Factory Order RAM 3/4 Ton 2500 dshizzel wrote: ideratherbecamping wrote: As far as the rear air suspension, it appears to let the rear ride lower than the coils and when the alternate ride height is activated it drops the rear another inch, which would help with extra clearance with fifth wheels. I can tell the ride quality is very good. I also like the fact that it doesn't matter what I put in the bed because the rear air always maintains the same height. So, I take it that the rear air suspension doesn't cause an issue when installing a 5'er hitch, right? And, I just looked at the 3500 on TrueCar, Edmunds, and DodgeRam and it looks like the 2015 specs are starting to come out for them, though, it barely lets you select more than the drive train and color. However, from a pricing perspective, I see you're right. My '99 had heavy duty leaf springs on it (Camper package), and it was a rough ride without a load. No, the rear air suspension doesn't cause an issue with fifth wheel hitch. My 2014 ram 2500 came from the factory with the fifth wheel prep and rear air suspension.Re: Factory Order RAM 3/4 Ton 2500As far as the rear air suspension, it appears to let the rear ride lower than the coils and when the alternate ride height is activated it drops the rear another inch, which would help with extra clearance with fifth wheels. So far it has worked great and ride is great.
