I was taught to pour a bleach solution into the hose, connect the ends and let it sit for a few hours. Then flush it well. I used to do that periodically as well as cleaning the holding tank.Re: "White" Hose gets Kink and is Hard to HandleAn easy answer is the coiled springy type. We have used one for years. Never kinks, coils itself and takes up little room. If you park in one spot for the summer it might not be as convenient as it does not lay flat on the ground.Re: 2001 Leisure travel vanThe new smaller TV's are inexpensive and take up a lot less room as they are thin. Also easy to mount, go with a new one.Re: Thinking of a BThe PW Ford with the V10 had great towing capacity. Of course you would have to go used. WayneRe: Leveling the van with an appI should explain, yes we did go to unimproved sites. However a B is short and easy to level if you move around a little. Since we did not tow a car we usually drove the B most days and that makes leveling a pain, ditto for the awning.Re: Leveling the van with an appI use Android and for several years I have been using the Clinometer app. It gives a bulls eye level that is very accurate and if you tip the phone up it converts to reading in degrees. It is more like a toy since the last time I used leveling blocks was in 2005, 90,000 miles ago. If my bathroom door will stay wherever I put it we are level enough. WayneRe: Any Winnebago factory workers lurking? In 2000 we bought a new 35 ft Itasca Suncruiser. We settled on it mostly from reading reports from the RV Consumers Group. They gave it high marks for usability, handling, carrying capacity etc. The one negative was that we should expect small problems with the fit and finish on delivery. They were correct. Within a week I had about 15 items listed, crooked drawer, loose bracket etc. I fixed everything myself in a few hours, much faster than a trip back to the dealer. In the next 5 years we put 50k on it and never had another problem. It was one of the best thought-out rigs we have ever owned. We downsized to a PW but not because we didn't like the Itasca.Re: It's been funTwo weeks since we listed it and yesterday the new owners drove it away. Kind of like seeing your last child leave home. It is going to take a while to get used to the empty space beside the house. Thanks to all of you for your well wish's.
