There is plenty of room. Each tire handles 1,770 lbs and is easily found. I got mine from Discount Tire which had the new wheels and Carlisle tires in stock. I do not hesitate to recommend this. The factory has gone to this tire based on what I see on new Jayco campers.Re: Is floor flex normal?Glad I found my first post about this. Now it is a full blown problem with cracked linoleum and floor too mushy to use. In Jaycoowners.com I've posted extensively about what to do. Though I have not started and may surprise me, there is no work around to the sandwich floor construction without joists. It does not appear repairable without spending more than the camper is worth or adding maybe 50 lbs of weight. Is floor flex normal?2008 Jayco 17c Ex-port, 200 nights since 2010. Just inside door linoleum is floating loose from floor and floor flexs where it did not, before. Similarly, just after left turn towards bathroom and kitchen floor flexes on either side of a cross brace but linoleum is tight with floor. I've inspected under camper and inside access panel outside tub. No sign of water. Jayco service man has inspected, no water signs, either. After repeated use and traffic is this what develops? Jayco service offered to do two positive pressure tests to see if there is a leak. When I asked what the fix is for a wet/rotted floor, if that is the case, they said none. So, clean camper, no water sign inside. I'll go under and see if there is room to maybe jack it up and bold or weld in another brace.Re: Replacement tire questions: PUPThanks, CapriRacer Very helpful I have a list of places I checked online for ST 185/80D13 or ST185/80R13 that did not have them. Each has ST205/75R14 in stock. I have phone numbers from prior tire searches while camping and will phone call a couple. I wish to be certain the ST205/75R124 is reasonably available, since that is by biggest thing. My local tire guy said since he does not deal with wheels, I might find a "special" deal on three ST205/75R14 tires on wheels easier than buying just tires from him. Another local said he could handle it all and would be happy for the business. He's pushing nitrogen for inflation. I said I'm 80% there since air is about 80% nitrogen. Neither tire guy could find anything that said other than a five stud wheel fits on a five stud axle. That is the next step - get a five stud wheel and put it on to see if the studs line up properly. I will not go into the discussion we had about lug nut tension. . .Re: Replacement tire questions: PUPI'm the 2008 Jayco 17c Ex-port HTT guy who wants to change from OEM ST185/80D13 because they are impossible to find on the road to replace a failed tire. The tire I want to change to is the ST205/75R14 tire that I think is very commonly found on the road and I think will carry weight at, or above, the 1,660 capacity of the OEM tire. What I've discovered since that post with a visit to a Jayco dealer. > The ST205/75R14 tire Jayco uses is printed 1,740 lbs on the sidewall. > Jayco is using the ST205/75R14 tire as OEM on 18'4" 3,500 gross weight single axle trailers. What I've learned from http://www.barrystiretech.com/sttires.html is the ST205/75R14 needs 3/4' more diameter, 3/8" more side clearance (thickness?) and new wheels. Neither the Jayco Parts dealer nor "my tire guy" knows of anyone who made this change. Does anyone on this list know of this change being made and how did it work out?Re: Replacement tire questions: PUPSome comments about 3,500 lb Gross Weight campers (PUP & HTT) using OEM tires together carrying 3,320 lbs (2 x 1,660 in my case). The remaining Gross Weight is on the hitch.Re: Replacement tire questions: PUPI'd like to tag onto this thread. My problem is tires failing during trips, damaging the camper. My plan is to mount ST205/75R14 to measure clearance and switch. I want to get away from an impossible to find ST185/80D13 and extremely difficult to find ST185/80R13 that is under strength. 2008 Jayco 17c Ex-port Hybrid Travel Trailer, 3,500 Gross Weight. Each time weighed it is 3,450 - 3,500 Gross Weight. Bought HTT used Sep 2009, 7 week trip in June, July 2010. I use a Milton tire gauge rated tops and gauge up about each three days on the road. In July, 2010, OEM Duro ST185/80D13 rated 1,660 Lbs at 65 psi. One tire blew out sidewall at 2,500 miles. Searched for replacement tire. No replacement in stock with those specs to be found in CO, NM, UT, AZ. Replaced on the road with Maxxis ST185/80R13 rated 1,480 lb's at 50 psi, set of three, the strongest tire available, AND THE ONLY TIRE AVAILABLE, in 13's. To get those three we found one in Silida, CO and 2 in Moab UT. Called every town. Oct, 2013, two Maxxis failed, at 14,000 miles, tread separation. One replaced with another brand (whatever available, the only ST185/80R13 within 100 miles of Memphis, TN). We caught one Maxxis inspecting tires one morning and changed it while cold in the campsite. Pressure 50 lbs, where it should be. I can't stay with ST185/80R13 because of difficulty finding a replacement tire on the road and damage caused by failure. I do not have an option to use ST185/80D13 because they can't be found in stock anywhere. So: (1) try ST205/75R14 What weight do they carry? Range is D. They are easy to find. or (2) continue with ST185/80R13 carrying three spares and change at first sign of belt pealing off.Re: Any 2005 Fleetwood Valor/Americana owners?? Tire question. How did the search for ST185/80 tires work out? I'm a 2008 Jayco 17 HTT. OEM tires are ST185/80D13, inflated to 65 lbs. They are impossible to find in stock. The R13 version load rating is C, under 1,500 lbs. The R13 version is too weak to last and almost impossible to find on the road. I'm looking at change to the commonly available ST205/75 14", though the Radial of that carries less weight than the OEM, it is a whole lot more than the ST185/80R13 carries. Both the 13" and 14" wheels have 5 lug patterns, so I'm hoping the change will be direct and I can measure the clearance before and after.
