Scary but doable.Re: I'm looking for a replacement truckTo be honest all 1 ton trucks are basically all good trucks. But for me I just bought a new dually about 4 months ago and this is what I looked at. With Ford I honestly don't trust their diesels after talking to several diesel mechanics and at around 65K I want something I feel is going to be reliable. With Chevrolet I actually liked them the most but at the price tag of almost 68k and with little to no incentives or willingness to work on the price I looked further. With Ram I found it fit my needs just as well as the others but at a lot lower price. I paid less than 48k including dealer added leather which was a lot less than the other 2. I have no regrets in my choice and I am more than pleased. I personally am not loyal to any manufacturer but I am loyal to keeping the remaining 13k in my pocket. Plus every mechanic I spoke with led me to the cummins and I am happy they did. Good luck on your new up coming purchase!!!!Re: Problem with Champion generator 72cougarxr7 wrote: Dennis12 wrote: Had 2 champions. Spent the extra money on a Honda, Problem solved. Neighbors are talking to me again, lot less noise. The noise levels are virtually the same between comparable Champion and Honda models. I had to call them before to get a replacement part and I have to say they had the best customer service I have ever dealt with. Good luck!!!!Re: New truck bed rail clearance concernsWith my 2018 Ram 3500 DRW I had 5.25 inches with the camper level. I wanted a little more clearance so cured this with tires on my fifth wheel. I needed to replace the tires anyway so I replaced the tires with a little taller tires and now I have over 6 inches of clearance after I raised the hitch up also an inch. I just went from 235/80/16 to 238/85/16 and raised it just enough.Re: Lippert Hydraulic slide out breaker problemI did the same thing as dmck413. The self resetting breaker in mine got so weak that eventually my batteries would not charge any longer. I also replaced the wiring to the hydraulic pump with a heavier gauge wire and a 90 amp resettable breaker and fixed my problem. Easy fix!Re: Pigeon forge/ GatlinburgI live outside of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and a car is a definite need to get into the park and explore the entire area!Re: Want to remove outdoor speakers. wrvond wrote: Here you go: Sea Choice covers. Thank you!!!!!Re: Want to remove outdoor speakers. riven1950 wrote: Just thinking, if you never plan to use the speakers, remove them and waterproof them from the inside. You may be able to seal the grill with something that will make the grill waterproof and not noticible from the outside. ( some thing on the order of flex seal or a good caulk, would not have to be pretty ) Then caulk around the edges and you don't need to fill the hole or buy a cover. If you change your mind later just buy new speakers. Great idea did not think of going that route. Wonder if I sprayed expansion foam on the back of the speaker cone and trim it to fit back into the hole if that would hold up?Re: Any way to restore shine to fiberglass body valhalla360 wrote: Buff & wax...standard stuff, just lots of work and once it's been allowed to get chalky, you will have to do it more often to keep it under control.
