This allows any condensation between the liner and whatever surface it's mounted on to drain out. Sealing it would seal in any moisture that's there. my less than three year old rooftop slowly quit cooling new aint always better. put a tap on the suction line and put some snake oil leak stop in it with refrigerant and still cooling. cant, couldnt find leak but so far so good. was able to do it my self though.841Views0likes0CommentsRe: 22' travel trailer rebuild from the frame up - NEED HELP!

I would have bought another old cheap one to temporarily use instead of doing it the way you did as now you will end up scrapping a lot of materials and all of your labor..
