It rained, and what ever smashed bug was there washed right off. I am loving this... I never thought to put floor wax on an RV before. Only complaint I have is that I was told to do the van as well as it would not hurt, it looks blotchy on the sheet metal of the hood and fenders, probably strip that and just use Maguires on the van instead.Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)I had whole dull areas, where the gel coat was pretty much gone. Just make sure it's not chaulky residue from the BKF... try to scratch it with your finger nail... if it moves wash it again (with Dawn) with some muscle behind it, if it appears to be dulled fiberglass it will shine up just find when you apply Red Max.Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics) Jason Nipp wrote: Ron, Finally got around to doing my rig. Did exactly what you guys said it would... nice and shiny, as close to new looking as it will ever get. ;) I figure there's enough pics in this thread so I am tempted just to admit I am happy with the results. And of course it got rained on today.... never fails. *sigh*Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)Ron, Finally got around to doing my rig. I had a drawer break on my last trip, while replacing the plastic slide anchors I noticed all of my plastic drawer supports were pretty much broken. So I fixed all of them. Man do the drawers work nicely now... go figure... ;)Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)Got my supplies today. Redmax is available in a 5 gallon container for $65.... I bought 2 gallons. Hope that is enough. Lowe's did not have any TSP however, but I am trying the Dawn and Bartenders approach first anyhow. One question though... did you use the BTF power form or liquid form? I bought both but not sure which one you guys used?Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)Thanks Cali-Boondocker and Romer.Re: Shiny RV with Red Max Pro (pics)OK, so perhaps I missed some, please don't shoot if I missed the answers. So with Redmax, do any of the coats required being buffed out? How does Redmax compare to PoliGlow? Romer1, you said you used a DAWN solution, was this instead of TSP? I have considerable oxidation as well as fiberglass weave, perhaps my gel coat is wearing thin... will Redmax seal this? I am assuming prep is the longest step in this process? I need to do some caulking as well, is it advisable to caulk before or after this process? ThanksRe: What did you do to your Class C MH today??? bobthegod wrote: I have a newer 32' Winnebago Access (Class C) I finally got a new 4 stage converter to replace the stock one. Now I can recharge my batteries in 2-3 hours instead of taking all day. I boondock a lot and I prefer not to run the genrator much. Even if the little thing is quiet it's not quiet enough. Well it is quieter then the onboard one. , Next I want to remove the televison and DVD player. I can use the space and since I got the new Hauppauge Tuner for the laptop computer I get way more TV then I could ever want. Mind me asking what this set you back? I was thinking of doing the same to mine.Re: What did you do to your Class C MH today???I just had the passenger side bedroom window assembly replaced, I had my cracked outer skylight dome replaced, and the slide-out awning replaced. I may change my awning fabric as well, haven't decided yet. Even with my insurance covering the window, $$ are adding up fast.
