They have a ton of tread on them. Not a huge load, no water or fuel, only our Rhino in it. These tires have lasted longer than any of the others i have had, they are E rated, i have not heard of G rated before. Can you get those in a ST225/75/15? Even though these have been good I am tired of blowouts, this one tore up my trailer a bit...Re: 12v necessary to run referWe have it running on gas now, the coils are heating up more evenly. He is not very patient but I told him to leave it alone, the freezer was actually a little warmer inside right after we turned it on, I never mess with mine so I don't know if this is normal. going to let it run all night and tomorrow as well.Re: 12v necessary to run referWell, adding the battery didn't help, still no cooling. The model is Dometic RM660 5.1 cubic inch. On the coils on the back, the large part at the bottom gets hot but the coils are not, should they be? I am going over there after work to try to help him out with it, going to check and make sure the box it is plugged into is actually live...Re: 12v necessary to run referI will get the model off of it when I swing by his house, it has a couple of dial controls on the bottom of it for the thermostat and the power source.Re: 12v necessary to run referI just texted him and told him to put the battery back in and hook it up! I dont remember the lights in the fridge coming on or not...12v necessary to run referMy buddy just bought a 1981 Prowler 19' TT with a Dometic refrigerator that looks like the original. He has it very level and plugged into a 110 outlet. Everything else is working good except the fridge. It just donned on me that he does not have the battery hooked up, will that cause issues with the fridge? Also, it has a converter should that be on or off when he has it plugged in and the battery installed as well? My toy hauler is much newer and does all these things for me...Re: 1990 Skyline Nomad M2521 weightI tried the web page, no weights in there for the Nomad's or other older Skyline trailers...Re: Newbie questionIf you are not hauling any toys I would stay away from toy haulers, they are much heavier than a travel trailer. My friend has a 23' Weekend Warrior that he towed with an early Tundra and he did extensive mods to the truck just to handle it. IMO you will be much happier with a travel trailer for just because of the weight and even price difference. happy RV'ing!Re: 1990 Skyline Nomad M2521 weight4500 sounds about right. I was just trying to save some time since it is a bit of a drive to go see this thing, finding out when we get there and look at the tags and if it is too heavy is a waste of a Saturday! I think he is going to be fine, his truck is rated to pull 7000lbs...Thanks for the info!Re: Aristocrat Land CommanderWe used to rent various Aristocrats when I was a kid, Low Liners usually, and then my dad bought a Land Commander very similar to yours which we had for years. I loved camping in that trailer, and I am happy to see some of them still around!
