Recently purchased a used 50 amp cord to use as extension.Thought I would test it before hooking to rv. With a test light either the ground or the neutral will light the light on either hot side. Is that normal?
On our 39 ft Montana the main air will hold it to 73 degrees until about 85 degrees. At that point the front air will start kicking in and out to help. At 100 degrees they are both running .
My understanding is you only need the 50 amp if you want to run your 2nd a/c. When we are on the road I often grab the 30 amp cord because it's easier to handle.
