All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Dometic dmc4101 12vdc fridge not cooling and light blinking I found a similar replacement motor which requires the connector to be removed and switched from old motor along with the shaft taken out of old motor and put in new one. if you pry the back of motor silver plug you can pull the shaft,, be careful to not loose the washer on shaft.. as for the plug wires , I just cut the new plug off, but the old plug off with spare wire spliced them together red to red etc. put some elec tape of heat shrink on if you have. mount new fan back in, blade back on shaft, put the back panel up make sure the blades are not jammed and tighten the two screws on top.. the replace fan motor on amazon is BCD-330WTV 12V 4W Freezing Fan Motor ZWF-02-4 Re: Dometic dmc4101 12vdc fridge not cooling and light blinking So i have been doing some digging.. I found a part list online at youngfartsrvparts . com/pages/dometic-dmc4101lss-product-id-936100408-parts-list its reference 289 for the part number. I called a local dealer in Yuma,, Rv World and they were able to order it for me with it takeing about a week to get.. I have also been chasing down lead on teh fan motor as well.. when i put this number in google some stuff on amazon come up .. seems this is a popular evap/ freezer fan motor for other units but not this exact one.. the plugs are different , this is a small 3 pin adn the shaft is 2" long from the hub.. I found a couple that have close to same 2000 RPM but the shaft if shorter.. so going to see what i can do to retrofit a cheaper way to fix these things. Dometic has the parts fro this thing locked down TIGHT.. all i need is a fan motor but i gotta get all the other stuff.. stuff you have to remove to get ot fan motor.. go fricken figure. Re: Dometic dmc4101 12vdc fridge not cooling and light blinking Having the same issues, blink light on temp side,, and noticed the fan will run at times and not run at times. suspect it's either going bad or getting weak or something from the control module that there is 3 wires to it and have read it power, neg and feedback.. couple time when restarting noticed when compressor started the fan would "jump" and then not spin.. could take screwdrvier and spin blade to get started.. other times it starts and sping on it own. did notice the other night the speed would go up and then down.. its rated at 2400 RPM so at full speed it moves a lot of air.. it ramps for 5 or so seconds then dies back to slower.. not sure what normal speed is as i have not sat and watched it like now.. Suspect when the fan is not running and compressor is it causes the compressor to get flooded with refrigerant and high head forcing a shut off and the blinking light is error light. ? trying to find the fan motor.. drf 292wepoo 04 02b with NO luck.. the shaft is 2.25 long.. on amazon they are 1.5 to 1.25 Re: Flexible Solar Panels on Side of Truck Camper a friend with a 5th wheel puts them on the windows on side of trailer. they are hinged so you can tilt them to see out and catch more sun.. you don't have to cover a window just put it on the side of rig.. Re: Dometic AC Compressor won't stay running wrong product.. looking for DMC1401 Re: Diesel vs gas......................a lot of guy put their truck on a "diet" and lose some weight.. seems to take care of the DEF issues and sensors that like to go bad.. rcpd34 wrote: This is why I’ve since sold my diesel and bought a new 7.3 gas with a 4.30 rear. Re: Diesel vs gas......................I RARELY go over 65 MPH... (especially pulling a 8K RV) at 75 you are going to fast pulling a SOB.. (some other brand).. its an airstream thing.. SLOW down and the MPG will go back to 13 or so.. not a big need to go so fast the place will be there or leave earlier. :) peace out brother.. happy memorial day.. Hitch Itch wrote: I feather the pedal the best i can @75mph Re: Diesel vs gas......................guess a lot depends on your foot, especially the thin pedal where as if you try to be the first guy up the hill, the big badass diesel) vs just getting in the power zone and let it ride that can affect the MPG.. I have a '03 7.3 with 60 HP tow tune on east coast average 13 MPG pulling a 30 ft airstream. only big hills around here are on Hwy 421 near boone, black mtn on I-40, and fancy gap up I-77. I can pull them in 3rd, (4 speed with OD) keeping up with 55 mph traffice.. running 2K rpm more or less. try less speed and lower gear. :) Hitch Itch wrote: I bought my first 2018 duramax, always pulled our 13k 5er with a 6.0 gasser, no real issues other then it was always at about 3k rpm now with the duramax its always around 1800-2000rpm. I am Very dissapointed in the mpg tho, the gasser would always get 7mpg and the duramax only gets 9 mpg, I was expecting far more then a 2 mpg gain for the additional $10k I spent Re: Diesel vs gas......................$4.09 for gas... WOW.. here in eastern NC, Raleigh area, gas is 2.59 diesel 2.95.. glad diesel is a bit cheaper there.. :) transferred wrote: Hannibal wrote: What station and where so others in your area might benefit as well? City of Pasadena, the Mobil at the corner of Foothill and Sierra Madre just off the 210 freeway is one, but there are too many to list in LA County. $4.09 currently which is less than all gas. Re: So what is your take on diesel fuel prices after 2020?From what i have seen in CA the wind turbines are going more than not. but i understand your point. Solar on the other hand is getting bigger every year. I know folks that work for a large solar company that works with the large elec companies on the east coast and they are not slowing down on solar installs.. (the lack of sunspots making dramatic effect on solar is fake news by the way) As long as the sun shines solar works.. https://tamino.wordpress.com/2016/04/22/sunspots-and-solar-output/ Now is that all the time?? NO.. clouds rains, snow etc can reduce the output of solar and the need for "regular" power plants still exist. In my area of NC a lot of the older coal power plants have been torn down and rebuilt powered by clean Nat Gas. Yes there are still coal fired plants around as it take time and money to replace the aging plants. Its too bad in the 80's the environmental wacko were successful in making Nuclear energy the bad guy.. by and large NP is the cleanest and safest form of power generation next to hydo but you gotta dam up rivers, flood large quantities of land which is not good thing for the folks living in the area. LNG is also used in OTR tractors which is easier to install, maintain and less costly to operate.
