Re: Is a cover necessary ?
I keep my trailers (3) covered (roof area only) when not in use year around, only because I don't want any surprises when I need to use them. Better to have it and not need it. jmho

I use a simple magnetic base antenna bought off E-bay for about $10.00. Mount it outside camper with coaxial running to signal amplifier to back of TV. works OK if within 50 miles of station. Depends on where you are.

Try Sampson state Park, a former military base. Finger Lakes national forest, miles of great hiking. Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Erie canal, plenty of history "so much to see, so little time"

When we went, we boarded the dog for the day in Rochester and drove to NF. We enjoyed it much more knowing the dog was comfortable and safe.
